The thing is though, that Cullinan was not a bad player of spin. He had good records against the other major spinners of the time - Kumble and Murali. But somehow...Shane Warne managed to get into his head....and live there rentfree.
Wasn't there a Cullinan sledge to Warne about his weight? I thought it went along the lines of, Warnie "I've been waiting 4 years to bowl to you again" Cullinan replied "looks like you've spent the whole time eating!":
That wasn’t the full story : when cullinan came out to bat : Warne said “ I’ve waited 4 years to ball to you “ Cullinan replied “ looks like your spent the past 4 years eating “ Referring to Warne putting on lots of weight.
Warnie was all over cullinan every time Australia 🇦🇺 played South Africa 🇿🇦 remember Shane use to say that he was like a rabbit 🐰 caught in headlights!! Miss you Shane may you rest in peace 🏴🇦🇺🏴🇦🇺
So is it acceptable, when responding to a sledge, to insult the sledgers family, or does it have to be just the sledger? I’ve had your mum…and then as he’s actually in the delivery stride…and she was rubbish.
@uniqueyunus Is this relevant in this comment section? Warne may have had a bad series or two, but his overall career achievements are astonishingly good. Here is what 100 cricket journalists from all over the world (including the subcontinent) feel where Shane Warne ought to be... that too, just 7 to 8 years into his career. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wisden_Cricketers_of_the_Century
You don't understand Warne then. His mental game was his biggest weapon. He was ruthless in his pursuit of wickets and victory for his country. Flawed human, as we all are, but undisputedly one of the greatest cricketers in history.
Both those legends sadly passed away now.. RIP Warny and Parky
One went out on a coke binge with a load of prossies. Can't remember how Warney went...

the sledging bit apart.....that ball by SW that got DC was a true belter
Warne you are a legend and will never be forgotten. That is from an Englishman👍
Miss you Warnie 🏏
Shane Warne is the most australian australian I have had the pleasure to listen to😂..RIP Warney. Legend
He would have appreciated that.
Bloody sad to hear the news of Thorpe 😪
RIP to both gentleman

That was the better sledge also
@@chrislong6350 yes all good fun.
How we miss you Shane ! ! 😪
And Parky.

One of the best spin bowlers ever.
THE best.
Love warne and micheal RIP 🙏
Man, I miss him.
Love to Daryl Cullinan 🙏🍀❤️🥰
Warney, just great
Cullinan was a really good player but always fell apart against Warne
Daryll Cullinan was an excellent batter against fast bowlers but bad and confused against spinners, specially against quality spin.
He was Warne's bunny his entire career. Just couldn't figure it out.
Not true, he was an excellent player against medium pacers. Waqar younis knocked him over many times as well
Actually he was a fairly good player of spin. Had a good record against Kumble and Murali.
He Obviously had KANGAROOS in The Top Paddock.
Pf*z*r gave Shane the final sledge 😢
the dreaded 6 hand massage strikes again
Coke and viagra not a great mix
@@paulkillick527 I'd sooner take that cocktail
As the Bonjourno song (rona remix) goes:
"Jab to the heart
Blame mRNA
It gives Pf*z*r a bad name"
Lost a true character to myocarditis madness.
What the 🤣🤣🤣

I think I got sledged by Shane Warne at primary school
Than he came to india and sachin bashed him he forgot to sledge
Rubbish, you haven't watched any cricket if you think that
Some fans try really hard to make everything about india
YEAH, and Warne made him walk back to his dressing Room, the first over Tendulkar ever faced him.
If I’m not wrong even Elon Musk was bashed by Sachin when he came to India 🤔

I love Shane warne and he is gone . I don't however enjoy his mental dissection of someone so much . Maybe different times .

@@mytwosense9135 undoubtedly the greatest bowler and I am not judging. I am just saying what I find less appealing about him
It wasn't that he saw a psychiatrist, it was that he saw a psychiatrist specifically to overcome Warnie and his mind-games.
As an Aussie, I will say that Shane Warne was, and always will be a knob end...
Real grown up mate. are you a judgy little budgie?
Just what did Warney do to upset you?
It seems that you are too.
And I feel sorry for people like you, it's not your fault your a fool, or maybe it is.
Warnie was a great bowler but also a bellend
