Ha ha, no. There are 2 types of Ray Tracing, native and non-native, in Portal With RTX ray tracing uses DirectX 7 and dxvk, in native ray tracing, DirectX12 is used without dxvk, therefore in native ray tracing there are more fps

There is an available upscaler. TAA-U.
My RX 6900 XT at 720p, TAA-U Performance (50% res scale) gets 30 fps.
This is because Nvidia makes heavy use of Nvidia RTX specific hardware calls, the game runs very slow without those.

nop, its becouse they dont use render quality option for this "ray tracing". Technically u can do it and i dont think u will see difference in 100% rendering "light" becouse its light, its not texture, its like fog or something. They create "developer menu" for look like its clean transparent project but its not. Only difference in GPUs its hardware soft like cars in real life +- have same characteristics, nothing special. If u think like "oh my card so bad if can run hl game with rtx" they win, just marketing.
Also u can made upscaler for light why not, why u need 100% rendering for light, if u can upscale 50% of cut light in 2x. Im not programmer, this simple thing, maybe will realised in future, but now its very slow process to sell first 2060 with RAY TRACING than sell 3060 WITH BETTER RAY TRACING, now 4090 OMG BEST CARD IN THE WORLD. nop

@@kenos6939 In this game, perhaps. But that's only because this Nvidia 40series sell assist demo does not make any use of AMD Ray Accelerators. It's like trying to run it on an RTX card without utilizing RT-Cores. It would perform equally as bad.

On Linux I was able to get it somewhat playable on my 6700 xt. Gets around 20-30 fps 720p at 50% scale. Does have rendering issues with Mesa 22.2 though. Surprised it's doing so poorly in Windows though, ray tracing support is much better there than on radv.
