Congratulations on making it up the Pass, obviously snow chains make a massive difference, although it must be a pain in the "ass" having to stop and fit them on, whilst getting covered in shit from the wheels..LOL Beautiful landscape, looks a great and challenging drive. Thumbs up from England :-)
@scania98989 the ones that have used 4x2 tractors here with tri axle trailers used to load the drive to 14 tons, slide the 5h wheel back, lift the first axle on trailer, and let the air out of the suspention on the next when climbing hills. on 6x2 we trash the factory settings so full lift can be used, that and the best tires that can be bought is really needed up in the north, have some videos out of us driving during winter:)
@diliukas I don't know Simas.. First the closed the road then we had to chain up and as we are on the hill there was no snow at all..The road maintenance told us to chain up because there was 2 trucks who spun out on the hill..At heavy snow they also send you a 4 axle truck to pull you over the hill..
Hi Andy, Great video, I really liked music and edition :) It's interesting for me, why truckers must to use chains when wheres no snow on the road? isnt it damaging the road? I think it's useless when asphalt is just wet and without snow or ice. have a nice week my friend, Simas
@scouten66 There are only few trucks with 3 axle tractors.. Most of them are driving offroad on job sites or hauling wood.. This trucks need 3 axle for more traction..
@SuperSherriff1 There is a very nice ski resort on the pass. But I never been there for skiing just for trucking..LOL Its funny to drive under the chair lift...
@Bevoin1970 THX Paul.. The road was closed to half an hour and all trucks had to chain up.. This can happen easy here at Austria.. We have a lot mean passes and hills.. In the END there was no need to chain up because the road maintenance had made a good job to clean the road up there..THX for watching M8
@scania98989 think he run with that on the drive, then liftet for more traction, you get up the hill, but the steering not so good. only that is working good here is 6x2 and 6x4.
well done Andy video music and driving i dont think that good loaded as you were ,you ned the chains...on a wet road you risk to break them no?....But if the police ask it you just have to follow the orders into the factory it seems better to have them...-)) thanks for sharing pat
@davidelcamionero The road maintenance told us to chain up.. If there is a chain up sign you got to chain up.. If you don't chain up and spun out your get a big big ticket by the police..
@sisutrucks 250kg but they are rare only used in construction they have lot of problems with oil leak and it works only up to 27kmh in case if i need to go to scandinavia i would get shorter wheelbase for example scania 355 instead of 370... load truck to have 11.5t on drive axle , find solution how i can lift first trailer axle even loaded, get slidable 5th wheel this would be about 6t on front axle 14.1t on drive axle and 19.9on both rear axles on trailer.cheap and light
@sisutrucks they have 14ton on drive before sliding 5th wheel and lifting axle or after? i would load it 11.5 to be able to be legal if needed but with sliding 5th wheel shorter wheelbase and lift axle could drive normally ... we dont have here slidable 5th wheels at all i saw it once on one r500 6x2/4 which was bough new here but it should be for danish market i know this for 6x2 and lifting axle and winter tires, here no one buys winter tires except for germany and austria
@aid2003 ok, I know that it's very common in sweden with 3 axle trucks but we also have the longer trucks, that are 24 and 25.25 meters. check my channel for a few videos and you can see how they look :) I also know that the reason for 3 axle tractors is because of better grip when its bad weather. We have quite hard winters in sweden. Sadly you often see foreign trucks with 2 axle trucks comming in 90 km/h on the highway.
@MrBulktrucker They told us to chain up but as you see there was no need for that.. Wir sollten auch einen Vorspann anordnen wenn wir keine Doppelteketten mit haben.. Der Vorspann ist ein beladener 4 Achser mit Ketten der dich dann über den Berg zieht.. Kostet um die 600 Euro..
HI ANDY, BUT A JOURNEY NOW SEEN BY A PASSAGE FOR HAZARDOUS WINTER, WITH A LOT OF SNOW ROAD, HAD TO PUT CHAINS ON WHEELS, POWER TO GO ... VIDEO LIKED A GREAT FRIEND ... GOOD JOB, A STRONG HUG AND GREETINGS FROM BRAZIL ...
Thanks for trip Andy ;)
@aid2003 Thank you friend for making good videos of his great tours.
hugs and a good weekend to you
Well done Andy, both, driving and video;-) I never knew that chains could bw used on wet surface, I thought it's only good for snow;-)
Jeder Norweger hätte die Ösis ausgelacht , aber deine Videos sind erste Klasse ..Schaue schon den ganzen Abend deine Videos !!! COOL !!!

@Petskus LOL... Austria is also a winter wonderland

DES IS DES GOGGOMOBÜÜÜ😝🤪😜😛
@Theoscense1 THX
hm, the way I see it; it was no need for chains on the main road, it didn`t look that bad... they did come in handy for last 2 minutes of the video...
@trustus2 THX 4 watching
@DominDriver THX for watching

@andrzejtrucker There was no need for chains..
But they told us to chain up and if you don't chain up they won't let you drive over the pass
@eddog6666 If you chain up couple times you get fast..
Chains for trucks are heavier then chains for cars..

在台灣是沒有下雪的道路.除非是在高山上.但是高山上大型車又不能上山.所以一般道路是沒有積雪的. 你們那邊道路有積雪.開起車來應該要格外小心吧~~
@davidelcamionero The road maintenance told us to chain up..
If there is a chain up sign you got to chain up..
If you don't chain up and spun out your get a big big ticket by the police..
is it easier to chain a car or truck? i have always been interested in truck driving.
@sisutrucks

@scania98989 but are tractors with hydrodrive used much?, only weights coupple hundred k`s?.
are´u drive in finlad aid?

why don't they buy trucks with three axles when you drive on this types of roads?
@MrBulktrucker They told us to chain up but as you see there was no need for that..

@scouten66
they cost too much and they are too heavy for our 40t law it is not profitable if you have 9ton tractor instead of 7-7.5t
