I ain’t gonna lie Brother I just bought two subwoofers they are 10 inch Rockford Fosgate punch 2000 W peak I haven’t been able to actually listen to them properly with good bass because I’m waiting on my amp wiring kit. I’m upgrading to the big three so in the meantime keep pump and Brother sounds awesome and I love the vehicle.
I’ve got 2 Skar Svr-15’s on a mono block Skar 1500w amp, box is custom made (sealed 40x15x20inch box basically taking up my entire extended cab rear bench seat), shit hits hard but I’m def gonna try and extend the box maybe another 5-6” so it measures 45-46”, cut one end off to add a large port pointed same direction as the subs (up towards roof)
Great video. Thanks for sharing. I just purchased a Skar RP 1500.1D amp with the intentions of also going with a Skar sub box with two 12" SDR subs. But I don't think the box will fit in the back of my Charger between the two rear wheel wells. I am debating on going with the 10's now.
im not so sure... depends on the box size if its not a skar. the 10s barely fit, i believe i took off my black piece where the truck latch is to free up space and put it in sideways
Idk if you got it bro but the 12inch subs that come with the box does not fit in a mustang, I bought a dual 12inch and they would not fit, I have to buy I box that’s 14inch tall so it fits!
Depends on the car too tho u might have to upgrade your battery so it could be like 800$ for everything, again it depends on how much your car can take

Easy bro. I have a install vid for a 2018 base gt on my channel. I had made it for my friend and he was able to install it on his 2018 ecoboost from the vid. As far as how the factory sub will affect it, idk. I also got alot of heat off my video for not using a line out convertor but my subs work great till this day, just secure the speaker connects better than I did in the vid!

This doesnt go to the head unit at all! It takes it all the signals from the rear speaker. Check out my most hated install vid. Cleaned up the wiring since the vid but it works the exact same

It weighs about 60 lbs all together, so yes it is heavier. I weigh 120lbs ish so all together not much different than a solo driver. This one pulls power so your engine will work harder for your alternator. I personally don't drive fast blasting subs. That's more for cruising, so no it does not make the car slower
So settings will be way different because I dont have the line output convertor, so my setup plays much louder. You can check my install vid, its a bad vid, on what I mean. I made that vid for my friends install. Anyways, I currently leave all my setting around 30% up, including gain, and bassboost at the half one. I am not a sound engineer so dont take my advice bro

Sadly I dont think so... Skar has massive excursion, which is the subwoofers travel which moves the air. Rockvilles are cheaper and has a worse magnet. The Skar kit with amp is only $500, so I'd wait and get skars tbh
Oooooof that's a tough one. On the Skar website it tells you the size of the box, so I'd find the top height of the box and measure your truck height to be sure

@@kgj7102 bruh i feel ur pain.... watch my install vid, i cut the rcas and conntected the same color wires to different posts on my rear deck car speaker.. id say, make sure ur bass boost is on, gain is high, bass knob is up all the way.. if the bass is crazy loud go from there, if not while ur subs are playing weakly try to squeeze the subwoofers terminals, mine were loose causing music cutting, or try to push down the terminals and move the speaker wires.. if they are loose u gotta tighten them, if they arent then wiggle ur power wires, speaker wires and check ur fuse. LMK
In this vid 2 years ago, I believe 50% gain with bass boost maxed and all the hz frequencies maxed. Since the vid I keep the gain about 30%, bass boost half way, and the allowed frequencies about 30% up for each. I'm no sound engineer and I don't blast these loud daily, they're too loud for traffic driving in my area
I dont think so. I wanted 12's but went with 10's to be sure and they barely fit.. Maybe if you pull down the rear seats u can fit a 12 just get the box height and ur trunk height for clearance
I had a pair of pioneers from my old car then some kickers that were 12s that wouldn't fit in mine. kickers were in a ported box, pioneers were not. however, I fit some alpine type s 12s in there recently (tight fit). depends on the box size honestly, but I would go for 10s over 12s in these cars.

You got an alternator upgrade or nah? Wondering if your lights dim. If they don't on a stock alternator, I would be willing to upgrade my system to a bigger wattage. Also, never use bass boost. Adds too much fake bass
Stock alternator no dimming, I wouldn't go over 2400W personally. I sometimes have my songs stop when maxing out the system but I usually don't ride with it maxed. Fake bass is louder bass to feel, gain on these subs are turned up about 1/3rd. Also 10's over 12's in the mustang trunk so you can still turn it sides to fit stuff when needed, 12's hit lows better but don't fit well.

@@Carbon5.0 a clipped signal is generally what causes distortion coming from your amp or head unit. Using a oscilloscope is the best way of finding the clipping point of a signal. On the screen of an oscilloscope you will see a nice curvy wave called a some wave. When you start turning the gain up on the amp the waves will get taller until they flatten at the top. The point where they flatten is the clipping point and you'd want to set the gain just before that

You will be fine, the difference is 10's will punch more but don't have as good lows. 12's have better lows

I removed the black plastic trim where the trunk latch is. Pretty easy 4 hand screw knobs and then just clips

Yep! I pierced one sub cause I had stuff in the trunk, super easy to unbolt and replace. You can also buy the subs with no box

damm.... well check out my install on my channel.. what i can tell is to just use a door speaker and wire the rca directly to the speaker prongs..
