The Minnesota Timberwolves traded Patrick Beverley, Jarred Vanderbilt, Walker Kessler, Malik Beasley, Leandro Bolmaro and 4 first round picks in a real controversial move for the 3 time DPOY Rudy Gobert. I think people either forget or don’t know that Rudy Gobert is one of the biggest winning factors on a team since he’s been in the league. Plus a solid center allows DLO to pick and role at his best like when he was with Brooklyn. I don’t know if this is a championship team yet but this is definitely a contender

7:06 this offensive motion is what I think could actually prove to be extremely deadly if the T wolves use it. Cus if you sag off Kat a tiny bit he’s sinking it in a catch and shoot situation, and a Gobert pick and roll for edwards is pretty ideal cus the defense would focus on edwards over Gobert.

As a Timberwolves fan I like that we got Gobert but we gave up soo much 😭😭 Pat Bev roasted us on twitter after the trade and we lost 5 1st round picks!
Where did Pat Bev roast us? He said it's business. Nowhere in any tweet did he come close to roasting anyone. Wolves are better now than before the trade. That's what matters. If you're a wolves fan you should be happy they actually did SOMETHING to get better and take a damn chance with good players in their prime or entering their prime. The alternative was play in at best, again, or more mediocrity from a franchise that has known only mediocrity.

This can work beautifully tbh but it all depends on how they surround their 4 best players
Jaden McDaniels, Naz Reid, Kyle Anderson, Taurean Prince, Jaylen Nowell, Bryn Forbes and Jordan McLaughlin are not bad supporting cast at all

what i don’t get is why people don’t think this will work, but praise allen and mobley working great together
big reason why allen mobley worked is because they had ricky rubio honestly, once he got injured they couldnt stop losing. idk if the wolves have a player like that. the closest is dlo but defensively hes not ricky (although hes better offensively in terms of shooting). not to mention garland. they basically played 2 pg's in their starting lineup - one defensive one offensive, kind of like the wolves starting dlo and pat bev. you have to look at the whole team to understand whether it will succeed or not. right now the biggest issue is they traded away their best perimeter defenders, but signed a good one in kyle anderson. their 3rd year guys are gonna have to step up big time on both sides of the floor - jaden mcdaniels, anthony edwards, and jaylen nowell - if they want to succeed. at this point guys like Dlo and gobert are who they are and wont change too much as players. kat - he brings something new every year, and with moving to the 4 thats doubly true.
@@Bluey_777 russell as massively improved on defense, plus mcdaniels will most likely be a starter so they’ll only be lacking in edwards and towns but that’s exactly why they got rudy
@@owen5783 dlo was good as a quarterback type defender off ball , hes still terrible on ball or on the perimeter because of his inferior athleticism and lack of hops or speed. the only thing he has working in his favor is really his wingspan, which is the best he can do when contesting - just spread them wide lol

Ngl, atm, the Wolves won this trade by a mile. They added an All NBA center to their roster and I think this makes them a Top 3 team in the West for the time being. But in the next 5 years, time will tell if the Wolves GM was a mastermind who knew his 1st rnd picks were worthless, or if we are all right when we think he was on that zaza when making this trade because what possessed him to pay a arm, leg and an organ for probably 3 good years at being a WCF contender.

They lost Beasley, Beverly, and Vanderbilt. Beverly changed the culture in Minnesota, Vanderbilt is an amazing defender, Beasley is a nice player. This was too much for Gobert. They are not a top 3 team. The clippers, mavs, warriors, nuggets are better. Especially since the wolves lost those 3 key role players.
Jazz won this trade, Vanderbilt is a future all defense contender.
You need to relax on that top 3 talk 😂 Clippers Suns Grizzlies Warriors and Lakers are all better assuming the suns get KD and the Lakers get Kyrie
