- After a full year of daydreaming about a secret little back lake that I had heard a fisherman's tall tales of, I ventured off of my own to explore and fish this potential gem. I took my Blue Steel Nova Craft Prospector 15 and my trusty fishing gear into this beautiful little lake, and caught some amazing fish and saw a big black bear! This is a story of chasing passion, being separate from the crowds, and pursuing what brings you contentment. I hope you enjoy it!

I have really enjoyed watching a fair number of your productions from your various trips and expeditions. I have found it totally absorbing and relaxing at the end of a hectic day to just sit back and enjoy getting sucked into your blissful adventures. Love the quality of the filmwork too. I hae watched about 6 so far and will keep on going through them, so keep them coming. Having lived in Europe and Down Under of have experienced the differnt worlds of traiditional adventure in these locations and have kind of combined them in my own life, so its refreshing to see a new way of doing it by Candian Canoe. Can see me investing in one of these also as you have defintely got me sold on the concept.

Some nice Muskie fishing in that lake as well, hopefully I’ll catch one some day.
I've heard about muskies in Fishog, haven't seen them there myself. I have seen a few on Head Lake while bass fishing, including a couple of big ones. If you want some info on good spots for muskies in the Kawartha Lakes, let me know!

My heart went out for you when you lost that fish on the first cast! Happens pretty often with me too. Filming and fishing is difficult! Looks like you got into a lot of nice fish. I was up in Algonquin last weekend and didn't get a lot of fish but landed a nice brookie, some nice smallmouth and a laker. Posting that video tomorrow. You definitely hit some nice numbers with some good size too. They were loving that whopper plopper. Another beauty video Pete. Makes me want to get out this weekend, but also nervous of the long weekend crowds.
Thanks Andrew! Oh yah losing that first one was crushing. He flew out of the water right when the frog landed. Thought I got a good enough hookset before turning on the cameras, but apparently not. Lesson learned! You're right, its tough to fish and film. Sounds like you still had a good trip to Algonquin and I'll for sure be checking out your video! I always appreciate the support my friend! Damn buddy, that’s some serious bass action. I had some excellent bass fishing on Fishog last year, not those kinda numbers but the biggest was just of 4lb largemouth. Few nice smallies off a shoal mid day. Mostly just fishing the weeds and shorelines. Thanks for sharing and taking us along.
