MADE IN ITALY SHAPING THE WORLD: Andrea Bonomi CEO of Investindustrial and Nele Cornelis of EuroCham

The Italian entrepreneurial landscape and its appeal to Asian investors took center stage again at the "Made in Italy, Shaping the World" series, launched last February by the Italian Embassy in Singapore in collaboration with Bloomberg.
The third event in the series featured Andrea Bonomi, founder and CEO of Investindustrial and Nele Cornelis, Executive Director of the European Chamber of Commerce, Singapore (EuroCham Singapore), in a dynamic conversation held before an audience of investors, analysts, and industry experts at the Italian Embassy.
Opening the event, Ambassador Dante Brandi emphasised the importance of the initiative in strengthening economic ties between #Italy and #Singapore, especially ahead of the official meetings between the President of the Republic of Singapore, Tharman Shanmugaratnam, and Italy's President Mattarella and Prime Minister Meloni during his visit to Italy.
Many insights emerged on the vision and strategies that have driven Investindustrial's growth, one of Europe's leading private equity fund with a portfolio that has included prominent and valuable industrial names such as Aston Martin, Ducati, Ermenegildo Zegna, and Eataly.
Bonomi provided stimulating insights on the potential of the Asian market for European businesses, as well as the attractiveness of Italy and Europe for portfolio diversification, which interests many Asian public and private investors. He also shared his views on the importance for the global private sector to incorporate sustainability and innovation into business decisions to create long-term value, and to develop effective #digitalization strategies in a rapidly evolving technological landscape.
