To be honest I'm glad it did not kick off last night as you said it's the last thing you need there. Wish the council would tidy up the plants too. Rents for businesses have gone sky high and people can't afford to rent premises as before so loads of properties left to rack and ruin. Sign of the times Stephen. I went out last night very quiet like lockdown up and around town almost. Saw some police. So true about that area nothing for kids to do. Could do with a couple of clubs with games and things. Council if your watching sort it out. 😊
It's odd that businesses, especially entertainment ones like Yates and Revolution, are closing down in the mid summer peak. You might expect them to find winter hard but not in the highest income period.
Hi Stephen, here in Huddersfield on Monday 05:08 there was rumour’s of a Protest/Riot going to take place, so all the shops and banks closed, apart from one charity shop, a B&M and a Greggs (got my regular latte) lol. It never took place in the end, only the police turned up. I filmed a couple of shorts of the closed businesses in the town. Must have lost a few quid the businesses. Labour MP Jess Phillips suggested Asian heritage young men doing the same in Birmingham were just "defending their communities". Dreadful double standards - and I'm anything but "far right".
