Pearl decides to start giving music lessons, including piano, singing, and yodeling. Her yodeling quickly becomes a source of chaos, driving Duke the dog to seek refuge at the Drysdales’ mansion. Meanwhile, at the bank, Margaret informs Milburn that she called the dog catcher on Duke and the police on Pearl for her relentless yodeling. The commotion escalates when the police arrive at the Clampett mansion, and Miss Jane tells Drysdale that Elly followed the dog catcher to the pound and caused a scene by beating everyone up. At the pound, Frank (Karl Lukas) and Joe (Peter Leeds) recount the havoc Elly caused, and she insists that Miss Jane help her bring Duke and every other dog at the pound back to the mansion.
The situation becomes even more chaotic when Sergeant Dean (Eddie Dean) tells Officer Kelly (Brian Kelly) about the “nice folks” he met at the Clampett mansion and then humorously breaks into yodeling himself. Later, Pearl’s yodeling starts up again, setting off another round of howling from the dogs. The two policemen return to address the noise, but this time, Officer Kelly insists on handling the matter himself. However, when he sees Elly by the pool, he’s immediately smitten and forgets all about the dogs, leaving the yodeling-induced pandemonium unresolved.
