I recommend using this as an aid instead of relying totally on the machine to do the work. I never hit the auto button until I get within a couple tenths. I find that I can do a better job than the machine get g it close and then auto to finish
I agree. Like all machine control machines its up to the operator to get it withing a working tolerance then push auto and make the most of the thousands of dollars u spent for the machine control.

I'm an old school operator. All these features on this dozer I learned and practiced all my years operating. What these features do is remove all skill of operating a dozer making the person in the seat a passenger who really does nothing to become more skillful or efficient on a dozer. A monkey could operate this dozer.
My fourth dozer is now one of these. My former 2 were laser /2d control. It’s worth the extra $150k to go intelligent I think. The machine has so muck less input needed and it’s very smooth. There are tricks to learn with more options. The cut and carry mode is great It builds a run way that is effortless and very productive in dirt moving. Weather it’s dark , your tired, hungry,slippery,or whatever maybe you just want to light a cigarette or send a text. The freedom and efficiency of this machine is something I can’t give up. Also a cellular network for a base😉. All I have to bring is fuel and grease. Thanks Komatsu

These cats only need you to drive forward and reverse it's does all the rest. Why have an operator at all? Just set the parameters were you want it to work and it works all day doesn't need to piss or eat lunch. I see my future being replaced by a chip.
