Flankens are my favorites. They are much easier and tastier to deal with than full sized beef ribs.

These came out great! Nice and easy to make too, simple seasoning rub. Sometimes it's best to make something simple. 😃

I picked up a pack of these from sams and did them today with your technique. They were so rubbery and super fatty. I couldn't even bite the meat off after 35 min at 300°. I cooked them for at least 20 more minutes then turned the grill up to 450 to char them for another 5 min. They reached around 200° IT. The meat was super good and tender but there is so much fat on these things. I don't think I'll buy them again.

Wow, not sure why they were rubbery and fatty? They do have a lot of fat, but mine were really flavorful and didn't taste fatty. Some of the fat around the outside was nice and crispy. And mine were also fall off the bone. Sorry to hear yours didn't turn out like mine did. Thank you for trying it out and commenting your experience.

@@Mankitchenrecipes they seem to be better after they came down more to room temp but I think I may have just gotten a fatty batch.

I get them from Sam's, also. I like to cook grill(pellet grill) at 350 till they get a bit of char and the row of bones somewhat separate from the meat. They are worth another try. They are perfect for football season. Easy finger food. Hope they work for you, but they aren't for everyone as we all understand.

If you want them tender, you need to marinate it properly for at least a day. Getting it in at least choice grade also helps
