When I first got to Jozi ,we stayed in Berea. Had some of the best memories in yoeville and hillbrow. Few years later moving from flat to a Midrand townhouses felt like a whole new life. Way better I must admit.

I just appreciate how Thomas has remained true to his undiluted Xhosa, all these years. From a Cape Townian to another, i am proud. Amajita they go to Jozi for 2 weeks babuye bekhala nge "lokhunja" 🚮😏

Kukuphapha qha! I know Thomas from YFM back in 1998 he used to host a breakfast show Badboy T, Lee and Sanza. Back then we were one of the only few unapologetic amaXhosa until this this day ndiluthetha ulwimi lwasekhaya ngebhongo, ungacinga ukuba ndifike izolo kweli Rhawuti 😊

I remember 97 & 98 we used to go to reggae nights on Thursday @ Tandoo, they had a rooftop,I drove through Yeoville last October after years and the place has changed from what it used to be when I was growing up. It's shame what they have done to that area, Time Square was a nice trendy place with great restaurants, recording studios, fancy Internet cafe and chill out spot.😭

Yeoville has gone to the dogs. It is such a shame what has happened to places like Yeoville, Berea, Hillbrow, Bez Valley, Sunnyside in Pretoria to mention but a few. All these places have been destroyed and the SA government is just watching the country go down the drain. The Department of Home Affairs needs to do a serious cleanup

Skhumba, don't be sweet talked by Thomas. Yeoville is dump place and dangerous place. Spend day or 2 or more and not visit for hours. You will see what the majority talk about. Do not be pressured to accept other cultures, other nations. Something must attract you so that you can love something genuinely not because someone thinks you are Xenophobic or uyazibona
