    Good start…I’m not much of a hot weather camper…this AC issue is the main reason. I like having a work around…good to know …I guess I need a new tent🤷🏻‍♂️

    yeah, when it shuts down blowing, hit the eco button it should start blowing again, if it gets too cold hit mode and when it start getting hot hit mode to cool again if you raise the temp it will be cheating the whole idea of getting frozen. haha. stay cool!

    Keep the temperature to it's lowest degree shouldn't shut off. And make sure it's not on the eco mode.

    Can't you use a regular window if your tent doesn't have an AC window? Of course, you would have to cover the unused portion, but I wouldn't think the AC window is a must.

    • @WhereisHammer
      @WhereisHammer  10 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Yes you can, basically you can put the AC unit up to any mesh area on the tent but as you mentioned you’ll need to make sure to block the remaining surface area to prevent cold air from escaping.

    I hang my A/C from ropes out of the tree then move the tent into the A/C above, and throw a sleeping bag over it all to force the cool air down into the tent.

    you need add a fan to keep air moving, or put ac fan on continuous.

    Great video bro , is the 20amp outlet all you can use for tent camping or is there a adapter to go with the 30amp to reduce it down to where more stuff can be plugged in ?

    • @WhereisHammer
      @WhereisHammer  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      I just used an extension cord plugged into the 30 amp electrical outlet, and placed an adapter on the end of the extension cord to create more outlets so I can plug additional things into it.

    • @davenstorm7271
      @davenstorm7271 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@WhereisHammer The 30amp outlet is to the left of your extension cord. The outlet you have your cord plugged into is the 20amp .

    • @WhereisHammer
      @WhereisHammer  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@davenstorm7271 Oh I see, in that case I’ve never used a 30amp outlet before. I’ve only used 20amp. However , I did find some 30amp outlet adapters with 20amp plugs on Amazon. Hope this helps. amzn.to/3K5h6cI

    • @davenstorm7271
      @davenstorm7271 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @whereishammer Yeah you can buy the 30amp cord at wall mart for about 20 bucks then buy a 20 Amp adapter to fit the 30amp plug , put you another extension cord to run a ton more things like a microwave or what ever !

    I haven’t seen any videos of someone trying to use a Cabela's Outdoorsman Series 5,000W/4,000W RV-Ready Portable Generator for a tent and a portable air conditioner. Is it possible to do?

    • @WhereisHammer
      @WhereisHammer  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I’m sure you can. As long as the generator has an AC electrical outlet to plug the AC unit in then it should work. However I’m not sure how much watts the AC unit will need. Also some campgrounds might have restrictions on the usage of generators .

    Drop the thermostat to the lowest temp and it’ll keep running

    Is this a 5000 or 6000 BTU ac unit?

    • @WhereisHammer
      @WhereisHammer  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It’s a 5000 BTU unit . It cools off the tent very well.
