    Jodi’s torture was horrific but I find it even scarier that she was “training” others to go out and teach these same techniques. The church paid her for therapy sessions with those who could not afford it. Totally disgusting! Yes, me too, from other victims that have been interviewed. She has destroyed so, many, many, families over the years …that’s what her MO was . The LDS church used to refer couples to her and she would then completely destroy any chance a marriage may have had, by manipulating the female, separating them and isolating the wife from the husband. She is a very cunning and conniving manipulator. She has NO intention of helping families she was just into destroying them mentally and emotionally…..she deserves to be locked away for life. That’s without even starting on these horrific charges of the torture she put these por children through, and her OWN daughter ! I truly don’t understand how she was able to manipulate Ruby to the point that she was openly willing to HARM her own children in every possible way……she was very tough over the top in her “punishments” for her children but this is something WAY beyond the unbelievable things she used to openly put on her channel. On the other hand, if she has a melt down or can't handle prison life, or if she gets in a fight and shows her sadism in the form of any "acting out," the state could bring assault charges against her, and that would keep her in prison for a lot longer. I have a pretty opposite opinion than most, about Franke. I feel she has more culpability, as the children’s mother, in the abuse than Hildibrant. She had her own history of distorted parenting before Hildibrant came along and I believe she found validation in Hildibrant! It was the parent’s responsibility to protect their children (and yes I include the father), but instead she participated in the abuse and basically gave another monster access to them, willingly and freely! So many ADULTS failed those kids on so many levels and at every turn. Strangers worried about the children more than their Parents & their parents associates, more than LE, more than their church! And potentially more than maybe the law or the courts there. If there is a hero in this situation, it is the adult daughter and that little boy.

    Sixty years a possibility? About damn time. I am not a lawyer, but I was a psychologist for many years and the low sentences for these kinds of abusers is no deterrent. People can get better, but in my years of experience I never came across an abuser like this that I considered safe to be in society. We all want to believe people can change, but the truth is that for some, the combination of biology, brain chemistry, abuse in their own lives, long history of drug abuse, change is a road too long for them to travel. Yes, some people are irredeemable. Not many, but some. And I think this woman is irredeemable. Sixty years would mean she can never go after another victim. I understand she has no previous record, and that in other circumstances this would be a factor in sentencing, but I am happy to see law enforcement come down hard on this. I’ve worked with people whose children died because of meth fumes, and so much worse. Sixty years is just.

  • @ElizabethNNN
    @ElizabethNNN 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +8

    Wow! I definitely didn’t expect 60 years mostly because it doesn’t make sense to accept a plea deal for the maximum sentence. What is the “deal” part of that? • @cosplayshop
      @cosplayshop 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Well, you don't take the deal because you want a lighter sentence, you take that deal because you want less charge to be make against you. Whatever you agree to plead guilty for is there, and you know you don't have the power to change the sentence as Peter said, you took the deal then you get sentence, but you take that deal, so you don't get the whole lot dumped on you. Like Jesse said, there are a lot more they can get Jodi for other than that 4 charge she plead guilty to.

      She can't get 60 years. Unfortunately that's misinformation. Utah has a statutory cap on stacked 2nd degree felonies of 30 years, and the same prosecutor that Jessi is citing conceded this in public. But that's not all: Even if Jodi's handed down a "30 year" sentence, Utah inmates generally only serve about 40% of the listed term. And there are subsequent parole board proceedings that could cut the sentence down even further, assuming Jodi is a model prisoner... Not that I'm happy to say all this, but we have to be realistic.

She could technically serve a min of 4 years. Rather unlikely she would serve till she dies and she is around 50ish. I do think Ruby will get the same exact sentence.
