    Very much like you, John, I'm not someone who uses a lot of (any?) gypsophila. However, as mentioned, it has it's place. Less is better in my opinion. Thanks for this idea, and for your expertise. I've always something to learn from you. Cheers!

    So sweet! I have seen bouquets with a baby's breath (gypsophila) collar which I quite like. I happen to like baby's breath best with roses and find they don't go well, to me, with all and every type of flower. And you're right that you just need a bit usually, not a lot. Thanks for the sweet hat box idea, John!

    Hi John! A lil florist apprentice here!! I have a little doubt, about the lid/cover. How do you handle to the costumer? Because we can’t cover the box, so, the lid will go under the box? Thank you so much

    • @FlowerJoos
      @FlowerJoos  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello florist apprentice! 😀 yes, the ideal thing is that the lid will fit on the bottom of the box as easily as on the top! But in this case the lid would not fit 😬 but normally they do 🌼🙋🏼‍♂️

    hi, where did you find the butterfly pick from?

    • @FlowerJoos

      I found this in a local flower wholesaler in Hungary - it’s cute! But you should be able to find similar in different places like craft shops, online, in florist shops as well

    Does the foam need to be wet

    • @FlowerJoos
      @FlowerJoos  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes - there are two types of foam you can buy . One is for fresh flowers and is softer, the other for dry or silk flowers and this is dryer, harder and has a bit of dust when cut or rubbed.
      The one for fresh , just cut what you need and throw in a bucket of water - it will soak within about 20/30 seconds . When it drops to sit below the water level it is fully soaked. You don’t need to push it under - in fact this can create a bubble of dry inside so just let it do its thing!

    • @razwanaarshad4378
      @razwanaarshad4378 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you. Also If wet foam is used for fresh flowers how long do fresh flowers last. Also can you use wet foam for artificial flowers or it has to be used for fresh flowers

    • @FlowerJoos
      @FlowerJoos  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@razwanaarshad4378 the length of time the flowers will last is very variable depending on the type, condition and climate the flower display is in. So the warmer it is the less they will last.
      You could use wet foam for silk flowers or dry but it doesn’t have the strength for support of thick or heavy stems

    I did press the like button because i always like yer uploads and like how educational they are. Even tho i would prefer a bunch of sting nettles in a vase above this arrangement 😁Its just not my cuppa tea. No foliage is a big no-no for me. And the colour is to pale and monotomous for my liking. ANd above that I absolutely HATE roses. Not that they are ugly flowers per-sé.....but my old-uncle died from a rose sting many years ago so i refuse to like them or have them near me.
    It takes all sorts to make the world I guess lol. At the end it is about income. If the client asks for an all white rose arrangement it would be very unwise to refuse to make it. Looking forward to yer next upload. Yer giant pedestal arrangement is still my all time favourite. Watched that vid so many times.
    Cheers and God bless.

    • @FlowerJoos
      @FlowerJoos  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you! My gran hated peacock feathers - she blamed my grandfathers death on them - but as say different things for different people. I had a customer who loved chrysanths and gyp - everyone laughed, but it was my job to show them to their best advantage.
      But you know I like foliage generally - lots of foliage! Cheers to you for being so honest 😀🙋🏼‍♂️⛄️

      Oh is such a shame because is nothing more amazing and beautiful and pure than an all white hat with flowers ! I could just stay and stare at it forever 😄 🥰🥰🥰 . This is a kind of arrangement where foils don't find their place because is floral and the monotony that some may see ,is been cut with a lovely 🦋

      @@Linda98553 Luckily the Good Lord each gave us our own specific taste. otherwise the world would be rather a dull boring place to be. if someone would give me an arrangement like that i would toss it into the compost bin straight away.... except for the gypsophylum. i love gypsophylum a lot.....i would put it in a wee vase. 😁 th-cam.com/video/g7B7ia9mhrQ/w-d-xo.html i love this kinda style Linda. this arrangement ticks every box on my list of what i find beautiful and aesthetically pleasing. Its perfection.
