October 2021 Edition of The World Report

- The latest edition of The World Report, a biannual compilation of news from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, is now available on Church Newsroom and TH-cam.
The October 2021 edition shares how Latter-day Saint Charities, the humanitarian arm of the Church, helped quell the spread of COVID-19 with a $20 million donation to support UNICEF’s role in the Access to COVID-19 Tools (ACT) Accelerator.
Viewers will learn about the latest news from the Church’s ongoing partnership and shared vision with the NAACP, including educational scholarships, a fellowship and a $6 million donation to encourage service and help people in underprivileged areas.
The most recent World Report also shows how Latter-day Saints and friends of the faith are helping immigrants live better lives through welcome centers across the United States, providing support to Japanese fishermen impacted by the 2011 tsunami and helping beautify one of Guatemala’s historic cities.
The latest World Report also covers Church leaders’ in-person and virtual ministry and the latest temple news, including eight temple groundbreakings that have taken place in 2021.
It is just amazing to see what the church is doing. I am grateful for all that the God does to help his children.
We always look forward to the World Report! The Church continues to be a light to the world.
I was dismayed by what I perceived as vax pushing, wokeness and social justice by this Church. Then I saw this video. Real charity at work here. Thank you.
The Lord loves all of his children and is aware of their needs. I am so grateful for willing hands and hearts that carry out his purposes to meet those needs in such a swift and effective manner.

Looks like this is one of the church's that is building the kingdom of God just like the scripture saying. Lending a helping hand to so many that could have got left out in the cold of the world and pushed away and forgotten.
The Salvation Army pioneered this pattern focusing their resources on helping the down trodden whilst keeping their spending to a modest pla o buildings and churches.
Their churches are used daily by the community not lying unused like most other churches during the week!

This CHURCH is growing and accelerating at an unprecedented rate throughout the globe...I am in awe of how "THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER-DAY SAINTS" is growing and spreading expedentiously for the good of all humanity...their un-bais love for all of "GOD'S CHILDREN" is certainly being felt and met...thanks to the "PROPHET & THE LEADER'S" of the church, who edify their callings and their stewardships and the sacrifices that they make in helping and providing a better life for those who are less unfortunate...It is through their love for our "SAVIOR" and the neighborly love for all of "GOD'S children that their charitable love shines through, giving hope to those who have felt forgotten, deprived, lost, unwanted and unloved...The members also of the church, world wide on a global scale has also just been so amazing for their part in pushing forth this great selfless work by volunteering their time and energy, and efforts in loving their neighbours...the "LAW OF CONCECRATION" is certainly being met by all the members of "THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER-DAY SAINTS" throughout the world...God bless you all for your amazing contributions in pushing forth the cause of "ZION AND FOR THE BUILDING UP OF THE HOUSE OF THE LORD FOR THE FINAL GATHERING OF ISRAEL" at the "SECOND COMING OF OUR SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST" you are all truly amazing at magnifying your stewardships and callings throughout the world...GOD'S blessings be upon you all, in Jesus Christ sacred name AMEN.

As I try to calculate how many times my heart beats each day, I hardly forget in each moment the breath I will have without being grateful for my membership of this church. To be honest, I always have compassion for those who are struggling or economical with the truth. What other things do I need to grow my faith and remain steadfast in Christ?

Be patient! Everything will happen in the Lord's time. The men sitting in the Quorum of the twelve apostles are the men the Lord needs now. As for a Church University in Africa, it may happen. We don't have one in Australia but we are okay with that. Just hang on..
I love our church many charities within the church have helped those in need president Russell M Nelson because he has been a surgeon this has been a blessing at the right time. The world is working together to get a vaccine which I believe the prophet and apostles prayed about it and I know we have a living prophet today who leads and guides and I know he and like so many of other leaders and members who serve the lord are blessed.

It's very important to build relationships of friendship and trust that will last into the rapidly approaching Millennium

Ill let you have whatever oppinion you sant, but ill say don't let politics effect your thinking so much. You might not know the reasoning behind there actions. I don't think wokeness is goodness, but this is like when someone calls a show with not enouph colored people rasist. Politics seems to be very strong right now, its almost completely shaping peoples vision of things. I dont think concervatives are bad, but you can't see everyone who tries to break rasism for black people as worldly. No, white people are not worse then other races at all. But Nelson probably has a reason to try to be loving to black people who might feel oppressed.

As a member of the LDS Church, I was so interested to find out all the things we are doing to help people in need throughout the world regardless of their religious affiliation. A major help right now in helping people in third world receive the vaccine to prevent them from catching the virus. They are not only receive the shots but help send them everything to preserve, protect and teach them how to fully utilize the vaccine. We join with other organizations that are helping.

What about the souls abandoned in Afghanistan? What has been done to lift them from their oppressors?
That was fairly recent, right? Filming for this world report was probably already finished. I'd expect to see it in the next one.
The Church doesn't have a military arm, though; nor does the Church try to be the only organization in the world that does good. If you want something done beyond the enormous amount of good that the Church is already doing, stand up and do it yourself.
The church is working with the International Rescue Committee to help those arriving at US military bases for resettlement in the US. Members of our faith will work 12-16 hr days for 2-3 weeks or more at a time. As for those still in the country, I hope the new government of Afghanistan would be open to cooperation with other religious groups such as ours.

I wish they would model the set of the Book of Mormon videos on North American ancient cultures rather than central American cultures.
This used to be a very Good organization. May God forgive them for their complicity in this horrible “vaccine” business.
The Prophet described the vaccine as a literal godsend, the Church is being the means by which hundreds of thousands will be blessed both temporally and spiritually.
Not that vaccines are one of the most important medical advances in the history of humanity, right? Sigh.

@@adamcianci1611 Prophets are who we get scripture from, and living prophets are more important for us than dead prophets. President Nelson and the other apostles have given multiple strong recommendations that we use protective measures like the COVID-19 vaccines. It's a powerful disease mitigation factor.
