I understand that their is always ways to improve. I am a retired maint electrician from a large manufacturing facility where we had over 500 vfd's for our equipment: conveyors, process equipment. etc. We used mainly A-B drives but also Yaskawa & Fuji. All the wiring to the motors were done in THHN. Most of our motors were 5 Hp or below and some above. The conveyor motor wiring to VFD's were usually around 200' runs. At no time did we have a wiring failure. Very seldom did we have a motor failure. Our motors of choice were Baldor. We have been operating like this for over 20 years. What is not mentioned, is the conduit fill factor for this VFD cable. I get it, but using this cable is going to change the engineering of cable runs and motor wiring enclosures. The old motor wiring enclosures were not built to accommodate terminating these new cables. I see massive use of cable trays. It's going to be tough on small shops.

Why not just use a larger ground cable to reduce the resistance vs. relying on the shielding for grounding? Also, would it not be easier to move the controllers closer to the motor to eliminate reflection?
Great video overall and thanks for posting though. Very informative.

Pulsing the DC buss using PWM. All votages are above ground, where the 60hz AC swings above snd below ground...

Its not pulse "wave" modulation it is pulse "width" modulation.

When suji says the shield must be terminated in a 360 what goes that mean and how is that done?

How do you get 600 volts out of 480 volts. Isn’t the 480 volts the rms value. Also you sign on your vvvf example needs to flip to read correctly

Why give a presentation to people,in the industry and spend the first half of the talk introducing concepts to people in the housewife industry. Just get to the substance and don’t read verbatim from slides
