spoiler alert the event that brought tier magic would be the summoning of players and NPCs to this world, the one who did this was a wild magic user known as the Dragon Emperor, father of the Platinum Dragon Lord, but the magic was so powerful and consequently so costly that he lost his life in the process
@@ekiest I couldn't find a direct citation of that in the Light Novels, but PDL does reference being connected to what brought Yggdrasil players to the New World in one of them. It could obviously be from the web comic, which is no longer canon since it had some things be influenced by the readers.
It's on the wiki if you want the most summarized details, but this detail appears in volumes 10 and 14, and I remember it most in the book The Vampire Princess, which is a spin-off that tells a different story of Ainz's, he has a confrontation with 2 dragon lords, one that is not shown and the other that is shown, the dragon lord calls Ainz the filth of the dragon emperor and other details on this subject.
8:51 You DO know who did it to Shalltear. It was a Black Scripture. In the end of season 1 and beginning of season 2 it has been shown to us
Would love to see an actual game use this kind of magic system.
well.. basically "Dungeons and Dragons" but MMO... because Overlord is based on "Dungeons and Dragons" XD
Just got back from a tiring wedding so seeing this now makes me happy
Love overlord. Can wait for best weapon in next movie hehe...

Is that actual canon or was it from the mobile game? I've heard that same thing also as a fan theory.
