An anecdotal TV production note for audio mixers and sound physicists: For years, Martin Stadium was open, so the tv sound people had a hard time catching the crowd noise, since it drifted up and out. But when the stadium was expanded a few yrs. ago, the stands on one side w/ press box added height to the equation, and the new football athletic complex, combined w/ the added bleacher area height, created an enclosed aural box that now holds all that great crowd noise within. Fox did a good job today, too, by proper sound mix, keeping the crowd noise underneath the announcer. So many tv and radio sound mixers aren't attentive to that and mistakenly run the crowd noise mix too loud, to where it makes it impossible to clearly hear the announcers.
Blows my mind how this Cougar team finished 5-7 after this start and the amount of talent on defense. The wheels literally fell off after the UCLA loss and we never recovered. This is one of the many "what might have been" magical Cougar teams.
Right? They were on fire, and then all of a sudden for 6 weeks they looked completely different, only win after this one being Colorado... hopefully next year we can get a better record against MW teams. Hopefully position ourselves well for the next wave of realignment.
The term " They Couged it " unfortunately is not a joke. Having followed them for many years they get these massive leads then just fall apart in the second half and loose. They barely held on today.
@@hsabes400 The only thing that makes sense is that they just come in with insane energy ( seeing most of the time they are underdogs ) and just totally run out of energy in the second half, especially the defense. But for this to happen for years and years it almost seems like a curse or something.
I am saddened that whoever edited this game didn’t show Oregon State scores. If we just watched this condensed version…it would seem that Washington State blew the scores however it was very much closer.
We'll see how the pundits react with a number 21 team beating a higher ranking team. Wanna bet we still get a cold shoulder ? Said pundits and raters usually do what they want......support a pgm. that puts the schools they want into the rankings.......translated, higher tv ratings. So...Go Cougs....we usually don't get the respect we deserve, but we should.
I didn’t see 1 scoring play for OS. Not 1 play for positive yards for OS. The bias in editing of this highlight reel against OS is unbelievable. I’ve known it for a long time but now I am convinced Oregon state is going to be the most disrespected college football team in the country.
