I read the Psychology of Money and Same as Ever this past week. Absolutely great books and worth your time and money. They should be required reading in high-school/college. Learning about finance/investing is a must in school. And there are so many more things to learn from his stories. They were such an enjoyable read. I’ve never finished two books in one week.
Interesting point about podcasts vs blogs. I much prefer reading than listening. I'll read Barry's MiB transcript, but I have never listened to one. I do watch the Compound and Friends, but it's at 1.5 speed.
very curious how many people claim to love Morgan Housel and hate the Motley Fool...without realizing that the Motley Fool was how Morgan got started. been listening to him on their podcasts since 2015. buy and hold the best companies and ignore the doomers, people!
A reader's reading speed can be controlled to at his/her own pace to accommodate his/her own absorption and process rate, but the speed of the audio podcast will not accommodate the listener's absorption rate.
Sounds like to me to stay invested in the S&P 500 and punt. Who knows where the market is going and the S & P is “self cleansing” where the cream rises to the top. Cheers!
Great wisdom from Morgan! For new investors A Teenager’s Guide on how to Invest Like Warren Buffet and Charlie Munger teaches key investment principles for beginners.
I have to disagree with Morgan that in 20 years some of the biggest 7 tech stocks will not be around. Look at the huge players from 20-30 years ago. Hewlett Packard is still kicking. Intel is making a comeback. THey have enough resources to be fluid and survive a change of the guard.
Maybe the "it is different this time" is that AI probably doesn't need people eventually. AI needs cheap stable energy and hardware to run on. All the previous technology changes still needed a human operator.

I didn’t know Morgan had a podcast, one of the most thoughtful people in finance I’ve listened to
I bought Same as ever the day it came out! Great 📚 read!
I prepare meals, eat then do the washing up while listening to podcasts.
KABOOM! Great Black Friday surprise. Morgan is the man.
Same as Ever was fantastic.
Normally I do not like podcasts that promote a guest, but holy shit was this different. Morgan Housel is a legend!!
Great show, especially love the shout out for Nick Murray 😊
Great episode!!!
Thanks!
I just watched Morgan on diary with a ceo literally this morning.. Worth a watch too guys.. Even Batnick gets a mention 8x8x8x8 😉

I got his book when your last guest mentioned it, looking forward to digging in!!

What a treat!
Thanks.
Excellent guest!
“Hey everybody” 🤣
Great book - almost finished. Also - what's going on with Josh's mic - lol.
Good morning , I enjoy Morgan's ways.
Better late than never. 👏

Good morning
Podcast is better because i can do picture in picture on this video and play a tower defense game while listening - unlike reading.
Read your own ebooks for audible morgan

Just one giant advertisement of this guy’s book

Does Morgan have a TH-cam channel?
Hard to believe founder Steve Jobs got kicked out of Apple.
At my work, I don’t care you could be the greatest mechanic, but if you’re a jerk no one wants to work with you or have you around.
Never tell Josh he looks ridiculous
Especially considering the source.

The last good headline that made me buy “reasons to buy”. Covid vaccine..
Aside from that- financial news has been doom and gloom mainly lol.
Hope they don't make a film of this
I’m not sure I’m buying what Morgan selling. Seems like he’s trying to sound prolific.
He IS prolific. Are you serious? Maybe you are thinking of a different word.
@@rachelfintwit5813 Nope. How is he prolific? I’ve watched several interviews of his and I don’t see a bestseller in it.
