Not being a Catholic I wasn’t aware of this until a few days ago. I can recall why partly as about two weeks before this happened on July 1961 my family moved to small farm in a secluded valley outside of my small hometown where there was no radio or TV reception. At that time TV signals were detected by antennae. The close rocky bluffs around us blocked any radio or TV signals. So we were oblivious to what was happening in the outside world. I was about the same age as Conchita maybe six months younger. We stayed in that valley for about 18 months when it became obvious it was too inconvenient to live there but to this day I remember the day we moved in maybe mid June 1961. The Cuban Missile Crisis happened during that time but I wondered why we were practicing “duck and cover” at school. People were all thrilled about Telstar but I never knew anything about that until decades later. My mother was quite religious and of course told us about how evil the world would become. I didn’t think it was possible but in recent years I am beginning to believe it. Strangely not because of Bible prophecy but just the behavior of people in general. It is clear to me now in my old age that there is truly a supernatural force of evil in the world that wants nothing else but to destroy us all or have us destroy each other. That may not be too scientific and as a kid I was always interested in astronomy and the cosmos and how it all began. Science is great in answering a lot of questions about the natural world and outer space but cannot answer the most important questions humanity asks. Who am I? Why am I here? Where am I going? They have asked the same throughout the whole history of civilization and no doubt before. Science has no answers to that as it is a material philosophy and those are spiritual questions. I think this renewed interest in Garabandal is a timely warning of great changes in the Earth. I spent some time researching the Bible for a book on comparative linguistics of ancient languages of the Bible. That follows my career as an acdemic and professor in. Applied Phonology. What we think we know has often been mistranslated. One conclusion I came up with about the Bible is the stories in it are impossible to our logical minds because you need faith to believe them. This is where scientists get tripped up. They don’t make sense on purpose to circumvent our rational thought as the true nature of the universe we live in is unimaginable to our feeble intellects. You can choose to believe or not. That is the only test. Meanwhile the world continues to become more morally dissolute as it lacks any spiritual foundations. This leaves them wide open to the forces of evil. What these visions are I can’t say as this is all new to me. People tend to interpret supernatural events in their own cultural context. That’s why these young girls perceived what they saw as the Virgin Mary. What it was or if it was I can’t even guess but I believe their experience was genuine and the message was for our time now.
What I'm curious about is why some people are so easily affected by this evil supernatural force and others aren't. Religion is not always the key here. Plenty of religious and so-called spiritual people are overtly or covertly under its spell. There is something else at play. It's an innate thing. Some people have to be taught what not to do and made to adhere to moral rules, while others just know that some things are not right without the knowledge of any commandments and such.

Similar to Bernandette in Lourdes, the priests did not believe what the girl said about the apparitions, they interviewed her, told her different stories to try and trick her. I don't think it was well known outside of religious circles. Garabandal is a tiny town in the mountains of Northern Spain, very hard to get to even today, as the Church has not recognised the apparitions, it is nothing like Fatima or Lourdes.
How should we understand that Joey will recover vision to see the Miracle if he passed away in 2014? I can understand that if Joey is still blind in the Purgatory. And that constitutes for us a challenge to our faith and our hope.

This event (the warning) is likely the second coming of Christ as noted in Matt 24: 29ff. This is not the final coming event at the end of the world. This will be the second greatest event in human history, second only to the coming of the suffering servant. After Christ died, many people rose from the dead (Matt 27:50). I would bet a 100 or more - but they didn't have a lot of communications capability to track it. Dr. Dominguez, the interviewer in this video, had a son who died a hero in the World Trade Center on September 1, 2001. I too was living according to the worlds rules not Gods. But for the Grace of Our Lord and lady go I. If I had been called home back then I woulf have gone straight to hell. God was merciful with me. I have endured many tragedies one after another since I was a toddler. God has called home everyone in my family who loved me. Though my life is very difficult, I have severe PTSD which has rendered me disabled I have grown stronger in my faith. It is all I have left and it is a gift from God. Catholics struggle to understand who God real is, and what He wants from mankind. The teachings of the Church are muddled and now the only teaching document seems to be the Social Justice manual the adult Catechism, which is totally flawed, not inspired by the Holy Spirit, and is just a collection of the rules and regulations of the Church. The Catechism is likely to change again and again as the Social justice narrative is modified, corrected, enhanced, and eventually will be the antithesis of the Written Word of God.

Not being a Catholic I wasn’t aware of this until a few days ago. I can recall why partly as about two weeks before this happened on July 1961 my family moved to small farm in a secluded valley outside of my small hometown where there was no radio or TV reception. At that time TV signals were detected by antennae. The close rocky bluffs around us blocked any radio or TV signals. So we were oblivious to what was happening in the outside world. I was about the same age as Conchita maybe six months younger. We stayed in that valley for about 18 months when it became obvious it was too inconvenient to live there but to this day I remember the day we moved in maybe mid June 1961. The Cuban Missile Crisis happened during that time but I wondered why we were practicing “duck and cover” at school. People were all thrilled about Telstar but I never knew anything about that until decades later. My mother was quite religious and of course told us about how evil the world would become. I didn’t think it was possible but in recent years I am beginning to believe it. Strangely not because of Bible prophecy but just the behavior of people in general. It is clear to me now in my old age that there is truly a supernatural force of evil in the world that wants nothing else but to destroy us all or have us destroy each other. That may not be too scientific and as a kid I was always interested in astronomy and the cosmos and how it all began. Science is great in answering a lot of questions about the natural world and outer space but cannot answer the most important questions humanity asks. Who am I? Why am I here? Where am I going? They have asked the same throughout the whole history of civilization and no doubt before. Science has no answers to that as it is a material philosophy and those are spiritual questions. I think this renewed interest in Garabandal is a timely warning of great changes in the Earth. I spent some time researching the Bible for a book on comparative linguistics of ancient languages of the Bible. That follows my career as an acdemic and professor in. Applied Phonology. What we think we know has often been mistranslated. One conclusion I came up with about the Bible is the stories in it are impossible to our logical minds because you need faith to believe them. This is where scientists get tripped up. They don’t make sense on purpose to circumvent our rational thought as the true nature of the universe we live in is unimaginable to our feeble intellects. You can choose to believe or not. That is the only test. Meanwhile the world continues to become more morally dissolute as it lacks any spiritual foundations. This leaves them wide open to the forces of evil. What these visions are I can’t say as this is all new to me. People tend to interpret supernatural events in their own cultural context. That’s why these young girls perceived what they saw as the Virgin Mary. What it was or if it was I can’t even guess but I believe their experience was genuine and the message was for our time now.

What I'm curious about is why some people are so easily affected by this evil supernatural force and others aren't. Religion is not always the key here. Plenty of religious and so-called spiritual people are overtly or covertly under its spell. There is something else at play. It's an innate thing. Some people have to be taught what not to do and made to adhere to moral rules, while others just know that some things are not right without the knowledge of any commandments and such.

I don't think it was well known outside of religious circles. Garabandal is a tiny town in the mountains of Northern Spain, very hard to get to even today, as the Church has not recognised the apparitions, it is nothing like Fatima or Lourdes.

This event (the warning) is likely the second coming of Christ as noted in Matt 24: 29ff. This is not the final coming event at the end of the world. This will be the second greatest event in human history, second only to the coming of the suffering servant. After Christ died, many people rose from the dead (Matt 27:50). I would bet a 100 or more - but they didn't have a lot of communications capability to track it. I feel almost certain people will rise from the dead at the time of the warning which would be before the miracle - including Joey. Prophecies are just that, some come thru some don't. Maybe Joey was supposed to see again but got sick and died.
Corky Lane, do not worry. You can still be a great Catholic man and love God, your wife and your children, be honest, good and not believe in "apparitions". You can go to mass every Sunday and pray the Rosary. Your Catholic Faith does not depend on this beautiful Conchitas twists and turns about what will or will not happen in the world according to apparitions she is sometimes having serious doubts about herself.

Too much emphasis is being placed on Conchita “seeing” Mary. Yes, she has seen Our Lady, and she has since lived a holy life because of it. However, is was JESUS who said, “blessed are they who have seen NOTHING yet still believe, for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven”. It is easy to believe when you are shown more, yet very difficult to believe when you are shown little. As He said when looking for the one sheep who was lost after finding it, “I care more about you than I do the ninety nine”….
