When I over extend it's because I have a monster or two that's unaffected by cards and know my opponent doesn't have anything like kaijus or evenly. Other than that yeah, with a deck as slow as gate guardians, just pump the breaks until you reach their choke point like any other strat. Definitely had the resources to win, just didn't account for both Super Polys.
Idk monsters unaffected by card effects really don't mean much in modern ygo. Too many cards in circulation out cards that are unaffected. There really is no perfect defense in ygo, it varies from format to format
@@TCGNistro That is true, you either set up Omni negates or a strong board of Towers. I often choose the ladder because I'd still rather let my opponent try and play the game. Of course if I want to win I'll just use every card/strategy everyone else is using. Still, having at least one monster with unaffected protection can buy you enough turns to get you into a good game state. For example my two main monsters that have that protection are Gouki, The Powerload Ogre and Crooked Cook in my Infernobles. Depending on what deck I'm facing I'll try to summon one or the other. Tears, I'll summon Crooked Cook because they usually don't run Kaijus or Goddess. Other decks I'll summon Gouki alongside Avramax or Goddess. Forcing my opponent to prioritize one over the other.
Kinda funny that his XXX EUR deck gets reckt by a simple card holy moly. This sounds kinda bias from my side but man... i would rethink playing yugioh anymore at this point 26:53 xD the other guy didnt need to shuffle his hand like an ship engine and he just casualy owns him rofl

A set imperm only negates spells/traps on the column at the end of resolution. Not the monsters
