Hey! Thanks for the video. I have on of these elx112p and the tweeter not working. I tried 2 new replacement tweeters and still no tweeter sound. I can really use your help. Must be something inside with the electronics.
Jaiho, hello there I know this video was 5 years old hopefully you can help me, I originally from Cebu but I’m in Florida right now. I have an old EV SA X100+ I love this old bad boy, my problem is everytime I turn it on I heard a hissing sound on the Twitter side but still playing music good except that scratchy or hissing sound. Let me know how I can save this karaang speaker. Unsay parts na daot ug Pwede ba ilisan. Salamat bai👍😊
Hi, ELX115, same board, fuse:good, no speaker hiss, no logo light so must be power board...checked capacitor, apparently C26-C27-C56 are dead... Your video doesnt show which wire to check to see if power is sent from power supply to Amp board...could you help please...Thx
@@FavrrYT : Just replacing dead caps fixed it for me (it actually fixed my power supply issue, so now, I have stable numbers in my two outputs (J5 and J7)). when trying them out, power is now there but sound is sometime ok, sometime "thin" (like a gramophone) and when ok, chirps from time to time... so checked all capacitors on ALL Boards: 1. Input board: there are like 13-14 Caps on there and using an "in-circuit DCR ESR tester" its apparently showing 90% of bad caps (all 4 bigger ones and the majority of smaller ones :( ), will have them tested off circuit to be sure). 2. Amp board (2 caps on there) showing caps ok, but borderline... will probably have them changed just to be on the safe side. 3. other 3 smaller boards, all caps are showing good. So waiting to have my input board tested. Pretty sure that once input boards repaired or replaced, speakers while come back to life... At least... hopping :)
