No one is hating, he clearly isn't going to legal competition depth. A lot of people, including myself, are upset that they passed his squats in an actual meet. Konstantin Konstantinovs did all his lifts correctly and fairly for a world record total only to have it stripped away by someone who competed in a loose federation to claim the new record.
As a lifter, coach, and judge not one legal squat at all. I have seen his and other squats in IPA and they are a joke. If you want to watch a real squat watch Brad Gillingham, or Mike Tuscherer.
Serious question... Is he going deep enough on those squats for it to count in competition?? The guys is amazingly strong and I got nothing but respect for him..
Big Ron are you sure this is the strongest man he is certainly one of them but can he top what you have done in your 40s no disrespect but you are a beast and you are certainly in my opinion one of the top 5 strongest men ever.
What are these weights made of? I mean it does look like 200-250lb, definitely not like twice as much. So it has to be something like lead or... i dont know some heavy metal.
The squat form on the last one was off, definitely, but sometimes that's just how the lift goes, you go down and you can be slightly unbalanced and out of place in some manner and it throws the whole lift, been there myself, most people don't know this as they aren't squatting upwards of 500lb's. Let's not judge a clearly gifted man on one shitty lift.
yes he's strong, but I'm beginning to wonder what legal Squat depth is. I've seen so many videos of meets, and Squat depth is terrible. what's worse is they pass the lift. like I said, yes he's strong, but what's the new rules on Squat depth...just break the knees, and it's good?
roeierd oh wow 8 time mr o and was one of the strongest bb of all time shut your mouth boy lol you have not accomplished anything to be talking down on anyone
Erick Delgado Rofl, thanks bud, you are a good laugh. Work on your readings skills though, since I wasn't talking down on anyone. Merely stating that Coleman was using a suit during his 800 squat, and therefore does not have a higher RAW squat than Dan Kovacs. Which doesn't take anything away from Coleman his achievements.
That looks like it might JUST MAYBE make it in a powerlifting comp. but I'm sure you just don't go as low as you need so you don't injure yourself while training
Logan Deak He plans on benching 670 in a meet in November. He deadlifts around 850. Meaning he needs to hit about 780 to get to 2300 total, which is strong. Although, I agree, not the best. Eric Lilliebridge is totalling almost 2400 and Ed Coan hit almost 2500 in 1998.
I think he went slightly below parallel in the beginning lol but to tell the truth i seen so much worse I seen people lodebar up only for it to look like the end of a calf raise lmao
Why are you posting this ronnie ? Back in the days you did 800 for 2 reps, ass to grass while picking it out of a rack and walking 2 steps back with it.
What the hell was that!? Yeah yeah he can lift way more than me...blah blah blah. Just because we aren't as strong as these guys doesn't mean we don't know a legitimate lift when we see one!
Good luck man, stay tight!
Monster!!!!!!!!!! Forever!!!!!!!!!!!
Why do some off these people hate on other people who are stronger than them

Lexington Plummer who stripped it away in a loose federation lol?
Lol, totally did not proofread that.
Lexington Plummer ?

I hope he reaches his goals as so many others are trying to get he is already in the top .1% in strength so not much farther.
Not hating, but will that depth pass in a meet? It's pretty high for powerlifting standards isn't it?
if its equipted then yes
nvm there is no way i would give him that squat.
I'm not a power lifter but don't I have to go below parallel in the squat?
Love the respect he gives the light weights.
If I'm not mistaken powerlifters going below parallel?
dan green wears wraps, this is super raw. and ronnie did 800 in a squat suit. lol
That squat was miles high...
Great!
Them blokes probably couldn't squat 800 without knee wraps. This man is going to do SUPER RAW which is just belt only no other special equipment.
What are these weights made of? I mean it does look like 200-250lb, definitely not like twice as much. So it has to be something like lead or... i dont know some heavy metal.
The title is a lil bit misleading dan green squats more and hes also alot smaller

yeaaaaah bodieeeeeeee
did they change the depth regulation? i feel like im missing something here...
I do partial squats with 300kg lol
yes he's strong, but I'm beginning to wonder what legal Squat depth is. I've seen so many videos of meets, and Squat depth is terrible. what's worse is they pass the lift. like I said, yes he's strong, but what's the new rules on Squat depth...just break the knees, and it's good?
How much weight is one plate?
Coleman his 800 squat was in singly ply right, correct me if I am mistaking though.
Also, Coleman was wearing wraps.

wasn't parallel on the last few squats.
no offence dan, and im not hating in any way shape or form whatsoever, but that is not 90% depth
oops thats load the bar up
its too bad he didnt get the record
Good depth! Cewcewcew
Can you squat that amount of weight?
1:19 wtf?
Coleman is the only King
So how did he do then anyone know?
Fell less than 100 lbs. short. Had some trouble hitting his squats. Killed it on the bench and deadlift though.
That looks like it might JUST MAYBE make it in a powerlifting comp. but I'm sure you just don't go as low as you need so you don't injure yourself while training
Wtf is up with the last squat? Not even quarter range of motion lmao
Hardly parallel...not impressed
Hate every where smh. Man my legs would be on fire after 400lbs.
demi squat!!!!
not perfect squats but hey he is still alot stronger than me
guys r raw squating over 800 900 1000 how dose he want to be the best raw total im lost
exactly i just came here from watching a few other people do above 1000.. he must have insanely good numbers on bench and dead then.. im lost too!

wait a sec , didn't U use to lift 800 lb and say LIGHT WEIGHT after?
Why are you posting this ronnie ? Back in the days you did 800 for 2 reps, ass to grass while picking it out of a rack and walking 2 steps back with it.
Bullshit title Ronnie. You squatted 800 in your Olympia days. This is nothing compared to you
Ron did 800lb for two sets being on a diet at 4 weeks out....hmmmmm
What the fuc,. Did he actually just do a quarter squat? Holy shit, learn how to do a squat first. He wasn't even in the ballpark of a proper squat.
Not deeper and lower than you at 720
Ronnie Coleman did more than 800 pounds squats for a lunch when training.
Yeah Buddy!!!
;-)
you used to squat 800 lbs for reps. Not impressed at all.
A suit and knee wraps help a lot.
I dont understand? ? No parallel no care.
Is this a fucking joke?
He has tiny legs
What the hell was that!? Yeah yeah he can lift way more than me...blah blah blah. Just because we aren't as strong as these guys doesn't mean we don't know a legitimate lift when we see one!
Still waiting on you completing 1 rep
Form is terrible
My advice lower the weight and work on your form
no offense but he cannot parallel at all and the weight is not impressive at all
