Stepping up your game. I think you’re the first one to review this. The other reviewers are just saying that it’s coming out soon. This one is probably a pass for me, I have too many blues. I think if designers started selling 30 ml bottles they would move more product, they could charge more per ML and I wouldn’t mind because the prices on 50 and 100 ml’s are way too much and plus there’s no way I’ll use up the whole 50ml or 100.
I agree, i have multiple small bottles (10ml and 30ml, if avaible), because as a collector, it would take years to finish a 50ml, needless to say 100ml.
I find YSL Y Elixir sophisticated and well balanced exactly because it is not overly woody, nor dark. I like it exactly because it is smooth, powdery and refined ! Some TH-cam reviewers lost their credibility on this one. Of course, its price is stupendous. But such is ithe fate of every Elixir flanker on the market ! And, no, I am not happy with it. But, its price aside, it is one really well done fragrance ! Oh, yes, this video is detailed, precise and honest review that is not biased ! Unlike those of other reviewers ! Well done !
Great breakdown great description fantastic video. I love the way you cut through the bs- the write up paints this overly- luxurious picture describing the fragrance. I rarely find a super soapy frag worth 200 bucks. So thank you!
Ya and it’s crazy that some people are like u have a decant not the bottle so I don’t believe you lol. Those people obviously haven’t been around the channel a lot and I posted a picture of me holding the bottle lol. But I appreciate the kind words ur a real one
Everything you say about this makes me think I'd like it. The Y DNA is great for me. I have most of the line. I like the fougere vibe so I don't mind that kind of soapiness. I love the incense note in Dylan Blue and hope there is enough of that note in this one to compare to that.

I am really looking forward to this, because I love elements of the EDP and adore the Le Parfum, so if this combines the best of both, with an interesting twist in the drydown, then I’ll probably just bite the bullet on it during the next 15% off sale. Would you say this needs fewer sprays? Like 3 or 4 max?
They said next 15% off sale is end of this month just an fyi. U could easily do 4-5 and it would be fine. While the opening is potent after an hour it starts to settle but it lasts forever.

I may not be the one to ask because I am not a huge fan of very strong fragrances being a pharmacist I can’t really wear them and I find they give me a headache. With that said I still like the smell of sauvage elixir it’s just too strong for me and this one mellows out after and hour and is a very very wearable scent so I would choose this just for that reason
@@FragranceDOUD already tried them both, I think the edp intense is good and more wearable but the exilir is really good but not 180$ good especially for 2 oz. I’ll wait for a 100ml of it on discounters

Am I strange to not enjoy that note? I think I could just stuff some dryer sheets in my shirt each morning and get a like result.
No ur not wrong for that at all. That’s why I mentioned if you don’t like soapy scents you may not like this because the opening hour or so is super blue shower gel soapy and a lot of people are bored by that
While yes, it is boring, what I don't like is one that the same accord seems to be so ubiquitous and two, I end up smelling that more than the rest of the frag. Take out the soap and powder and put in salt and mineral I say, even if it's bad at least it will be different.@@FragranceDOUD
Frag prices are getting totally out of hand. $180 for a 60ml designer is wild. Especially for a redundant fragrance like this. I have the rest of this line, but ill probably pass on this.
Two different styles of fragrances. Ysl myself is a bubble gum style fragrance with a candy like citrus while this is a darker and soapy blue with incense. Can’t really compare the two. As far as ranking I ranked this one initially higher than the MYSLF with scent alone but I’ve only worn it twice now
So yes it’s supposed to be, but some brands use extrait de Parfum more as a descriptive word to describe the higher level concentrations of the Parfum like 25% and higher usually while 20%-25% usually is where they name it the parfum. Designers usually use the word elixir now as a placeholder for an extrait since it sounds better when they already have a oarfum in the line like this one and ralphs club
From what I’m hearing if chanel does a new fragrance it won’t be an elixir. A manager at a chanel boutique said it’s not going to be an elixir chanel starts trends not follows them. With that said I could see them calling it extrait de Parfum maybe lol

i blind bought a 10 milliliter bottle of ysl y l'elixir for 50 bucks. very glad i didn't spend more money on this very bad perfume. worst of all y perfumes and only lasts an hour on my skin, after that it's barely noticeable. it was the same for my friends who got to test it.

Yes I did 2:42 on the left. I clearly said I asked if I could spray a few ml into a decant because I’m not spending $200 on a designer when I can get it in a week from france for $100. And there are two other reviewers in my area scentral hub and fragrance fight night both will attest that the bottle is at our Macys and they allowed me to make a decant. Although I don’t feel I should have to explain myself after getting over 100 new releases days after release on my channel. I hope next time u can have trust in my channel

Everything you say about this makes me think I'd like it. The Y DNA is great for me. I have most of the line. I like the fougere vibe so I don't mind that kind of soapiness. I love the incense note in Dylan Blue and hope there is enough of that note in this one to compare to that.

YSL Y EDP 2018 remains the best. Rest are just a waste of money.
See the EDP gives me a headache and I actually have the 2018 bottle. My favorites are the edt 2017 and le parfum

No that’s the soapy ness of Iris which is completely different than a lavendar ginger aromatic soapyness. This is like blue shower gel soapyness
