Very nice! Great tips. One thing to add, most of these EGOs have uneven vertical alignment between lenses. In OBS you probably want to duplicate the feed window creating a window for each eye, show half on each side of the screen and adjust the vertical alignment.
I have updated my Qoocam EGO to the latest firmware which is V2.9.6 I think the RTSP feature has been removed on the EGO. I know the IP address, but I can't get it to do as you show in your video. There is in settings a Webcam Encoding format settings , but I don't know how to use the EGO as a Webcam - assuming that is what it means.
First you will need to find out the SSID of the Wi-Fi that your computer is connected to. Then simply connect the camera to the same SSID and you will have both on the same network. Hope that helps, let me know.
@@ANAVision my question is how do you set up youtube to make a 32x9 side by side live stream come out in 3d for 3d viewers and alternate formats like monochromatic red and cyan anaglyph, Dubois red and cyan, left eye, right eye, for 2d tvs, and 16x9 SBS half width for 2010s era 3d tvs?
Does your VR headset support Steam, if so you should be able to use it with Virtual Desktop. You need to ensure that parallax doesn't remove too much from the left and right sides of the streamed image as these will only appear in 2D. the closer the camera, the more 2D edge will appear on either side. As a general rule I would say keep the camera at least 10 times the interocular lens distance away from subjects. for the QooCam EGO that would be about an arms length.
I want to watch my Qoocam Ego videos with a 3D projector via a blue ray player and with 3D glasses. How can I convert the files to a format that works for that set up? I would eternally grateful for some help and I'm sure a lot of other QooCam users are in the same predicament, thanks!!!
Hey ... I am not able to stream with the instructions of this video.... I hv found out the IP address of my camera ... But still VLC player says .. error taht " can not connect to IP address... Seeking solution
If your mobile doesn't have a parallax barrier screen already, you have to add to the hardware to be able to view stereoscopically. My video on the Mopic Snap3D is an example of this (see th-cam.com/video/mPEYqVHam2Q/w-d-xo.html). Alternatively if you want to have a viewer like the one that comes on the QooCam EGO on your mobile, then Google Cardboard may be a simple solution, but you will need third party apps to view the SBS content.
@Matt M, some cameras allow you to set up RTSP with bit rate, frame rate, key frame intervals, resolution etc prior to use for example using a web browser via http. I'm not sure if this is supported on the QooCam EGO. I've used RTSP out of the box, so did not do anything first.
Hello, very good and understandable tutorial. However, not everything works like in your video. The command "arp -a | findstr dynamic" doesn't work. Syntax.Error! 'arp -a' alone works though. But: if I switch the camera off, the camera's IP remains visible even after 5 minutes. The camera's IP is only deleted after disconnecting the router from the Internet and then reconnecting it. And unfortunately there's more bad news: the camera doesn't connect via VLC or OSB. But if I enter the IP into the browser: the following message appears: SyntaxError: 'JSON.parse: unexpected character at line 1 column 1 of the JSON data'
EGO MAC address? I'm having considerable trouble finding the EGO IP address. EGO says it's connected to wifi but i can't find it. Could someone reply with EGO MAC address, or at least the first 3 bytes mfg. code. Anyone else having trouble getting started with streaming?
@@ANAVision I didn't pursue that ONVIF software solution very far, so pretended it was a work day and found this MAC address prefix for Kandao 70:65:a3..... which should help. Happy Holidays!
Tried this today and not working - VLC reports "Connection failed: VLC could not connect to "192.168.1.246:554". I can ping the camera from the PC but Nmap shows that the RTSP port (554) is closed. Camera is on and in video shooting mode. Does it still work for you or did Kandao perhaps remove this function in a firmware update?
I can not get it to work either, I cant even seen the cam on my network. I tried the usb cable and the pc is not able to recognized it. Is this something gone with the latest firmware ?

Fantastic tip. I totally agree. That is definitely a great solution to misalignment. Thanks so much for sharing this.
Only had my ego for a couple of days and I'm finding your TH-cam video's very clear and easy to follow. I'm on a very steep learning curve. Thank you
Thanks for your feedback. I'm glad the video helps. Hope you enjoy the camera.
Sweet job Andreas. Thank you for sharing your passion for 3D. Happy New Year!🎥🎬🎊❤️
Thank you Carlos. Happy New Year to you also!
Brilliant instructional, thank you, just subscribed...
Thanks so much!
Absolutely brilliant!
Can you advice how to stream from Qoocam Ego 3d to Xreal glasses? I hope you do that in a new tutorial.
Do you have Xreal glasses? If so, how are you finding them? I've been keeping an eye on these, but don't have one myself yet.
Great tutorial. Thanks !!!

How do you connect the camera to the same Wi-Fi as my computer is connected to?

What if you have twin USB cameras and use OBS in the studio, and use Dual USB Camera Pro for Android for on location live shoots?
Sounds plausible.

Hello, can we see the stream in 3d in the Quest 2? Via vlc? Regards
Absolutely you can. For this play VLC on your PC and use Virtual Desktop to mirror it in your Quest 2.
Can I also stream on a 3D billboard please?
what is the make and model of the 3D billboard?
Thanks. Are you supposed to do something with RTSP first?
