Love doesn't order people to slaughter other people to steal their land. Love doesn't consider half of humanity - women - at the level of livestock, as mere breeders. Love doesn't require ritual male genital mutilation as a loyalty oath. Love doesn't TELL former slaves to take slaves, beat them, and will them to their children. Shall I go on?
The standard "love" sermon is such nonsense...I believe in Jesus and do not love my enemies. Maybe i might send them a quick prayer once in awhile but most of the time i just dislike them and want nothing to do with them...and frankly i have plenty of joy in my heart everyday with this attitude...salvation is through faith alone...u dont have to force yourself to love people who are garbage and did u wrong.
