    I love my Aeons!!! As for the park being wet and rusty!.... You need to skate in the UK. What you have right there is paradise for us even in summer!

    You're looking soooo smooth! I have the aeon 60 xix since 2 weeks, they change my style and give me such a strong feeling of control. Best skates ever, for me! Love your vids 👍👍👍

    I went to my local park today for 1st time. All rails and ledges are square and waxed to the max. You slide out of even the most solid locks and wheel stick as well.

    Ahh one of my old “top 3 of choices” when I was getting back to blading last year. Aeons 60s are a pretty solid buy, if not one of the most solid buys. It’s pretty tough to compete with their value out of the box. If you are anything like me and love fiddling with your skates and customizing them this is not really an option but for those who want a great one out of the box, this is a great choice.

    • @BacktoBlading
      @BacktoBlading  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Absolutely. They're amazing skates. The frame guy in me though wishes I could skate them with bigger wheels, or try a different frame. Not the end of the world though, and a small compromise for such a solid skate.

    • @Transhumanist8
      @Transhumanist8 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      How about putting 68mm-wheels on your 72-shell as a compromise, if it works it could be awesome :)

    Dude your positivity about skates is going to kill my bank account! All my money recently had gone towards skates. I'm so tempted to buy some Aeons now.
    After visiting my local parks with my skateboarding friend, I thought a lot about the dynamics between Bladers, boarders, and scooterers. It would be cool to see a video on your thoughts about "skatepark politics" and how the different sports relate to eachother in the context of the skatepark.
    Or at least I'd like to see your opinions about being a rollerblader at a park and the reactions you've gotten from skateboarders and scooterers

    • @BacktoBlading
      @BacktoBlading  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry! At least you're spending all your money on fun and exercise, not drugs and candy =)
      That sounds like a podcast topic, something I might go a bit long with. I've never seen any hostility, but I definitely don't get greeted with open arms.

    Awesome to see your progression!I’m an old school K2 skater (35 years old) and still have some newer style k2 pros. But after watching some of your vids I’m super interested in trying out some of these Aeon 60’s. Only problem is there is no skate shop around to get my hands on them... can you help?

    • @BacktoBlading
      @BacktoBlading  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, the skate shop thing is tough. I’d look at InlineWarehouse.com, they offer free returns when you pay $10 for a T-shirt. Might be the right way to test sizing.
      The Aeon is a great skate, and it’s pretty true to size if you measure in cm. They’re not super wide though.

    hi
    I'm French and rollerblading died in France, so it's hard to get advice. So I'd like to ask your advice. I used to rollerblade a long time ago on roces majestic 12, I had a good level but it's been more than 20 years since I've rollerbladed. I'd like to buy some and I'm hesitating between the razor shift and the aeon 60. Which are better for "beginners" ?
    Which is more forgiving of mistakes ?
    The easiest to lock onto the rails ?
    Thanks

    Hey man! LOVE your channel so much that i just bought my first pair of skates in like 18 years (USD Aeon 60 XIX). I agree with your other review that the wheels are not as grippy as I'd like them to be. The wheels that you recommend above are no longer available. can you make another recommendation as to what wheels to get for these skates? Thanks!

    Hi! Is there big difference between Aeon and Seba + Oysi or 50/50 balance in royal and unity grinds?
    What skates are more comfortable and you would recommend?
    Thanks in advance

    • @BacktoBlading
      @BacktoBlading  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      For royales, there’s a lot of math going on with angles of frames and souls. If you’re riding a Oysi frame, it’ll be a bit taller than a 50/50 frame. That means your souls will need to be wider to keep the same angle. Oysi with a Seba is a great match!
      Overall, I love the Aeon 60. But what’s best for you is what fits your foot.

    Drop your left knee a bit more. Push your right foot out further and shift your hips a touch more into the spin and you will lace it. Tough to learn on a square ledge. Keep it up.

    I've been looking for a pair of 60 aeons for a while and will buy them next week as my first pair of agressive skates, do you think i would need antirocker to ease up the learning process? I will buy the size 45-46 eu (11-12) and the gap between the wheels will be pretty big.
    I've been following your videos for a while and I just realised i wasn't subscribed yet lol, thought i was. Cheers from Barcelona!

    • @BacktoBlading
      @BacktoBlading  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for watching! I dunno if you need anti rocker, the Aeon are a pretty solid skate no matter the setup. Maybe for learning some of the royale tricks it'll help, but you'll lose the amazing flat feeling.

    • @saborsito
      @saborsito 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the response! I will keep them flat to skate from one skatepark/spot to another and since here at Barcelona we have free agressive skating lessons every week from the shop ROEX if they see that it restricts me from learning they will probably tell me

    • @BacktoBlading
      @BacktoBlading  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Agreed! I trust in Roex to give you the right advice. They wouldn't sell a skate they didn't believe in.

    Tell me please about your size. What your shoes size and what size this Aeon?
    I trying to decide which size I need to choose at site.I've got USd classic trones Aaron Feinberg. Size 43 (eu) not uk! Maybe 10 us.
    But it's a bit narrow for my 41 Eu/8,5 us. feet become numb sometimes :(
    Thank you! Have a nice ride))

    • @BacktoBlading
      @BacktoBlading  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I’m riding a size 9/10 shell with a 10 liner. My foot is 28.5 cm. I suggest you measure your foot by putting a ruler against a wall and standing on it. There’s a good sizing chart at rollerwarehouse: rollerwarehouse.com/USD-Aeon-2018-72mm-White-Grey-Skates.asp

    • @ek-nz
      @ek-nz 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I got my normal Euro size, which was the 39/40 boot for a 40 foot. It's borderline too small. I think I'll swap out the liners for second skin and see if that helps.

    • @BacktoBlading
      @BacktoBlading  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      We used to ride flat 55s back in the days, or anti rocker. Souls were much harder, but we learned to bone it over to balance. It's probably more fun skating now, I don't consider it cheating so long as you're having fun doing it.
