Hundreds audition, but only a select group will secure spots in the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders training camp. DCC director Kelli Finglass and head choreographer Judy Trammell oversee the intense audition process and decide which hopefuls will make the team.
I was one of those that felt Meredith should not have made the team last year. It was so hard watching her get cut. This was something that should have happened last year, her pain would not have been so paralyzing.
She is a fun sweet woman and she deserved better. They did her no favors last year.

I think her and Lili were great to make it and Meredith should have gone to the Bronco's with LiLi...Took what they learned from here and Showed what they knew ...LiLi made it on her first try and she is going on her second or 3rd season now...
Both Victoria and Maddie were cuts their first year. Look at them now.

I was surprised that Meredith made the team AT ALL! She was called into the office more times than anyone else I can remember. And even as a veteran, she was still behind with the choreography.
Since last year, many people said that Meredith’s boyfriend knows Jerry Jones personally, and that he threatened Kelly and Judy that if she does not make the team, they would get fired. Many people also said that she slept with Jerry Jones and a few others to be a DCC. Personally, I don’t know how she made the team, but I do know that she is NFL Cheerleader material, but not DCC material

The fact she was caught off guard says it all. She’s not recognising when she’s sloppy and being outperformed in hard hitting groups. Nothing against her as a person and she’s a wonderful lyrical dancer but they should never have put her in the team. She doesn’t fit with their style.
True. But she needs more power dance trng and she'd be perfect. I think if she had the confidence shed be amazing in show group.

I’m sorry, Meredith never should have made the squad in the first place. Other girls were cut for much less who were much better. I believe she made it based on her looks more than anything
I think they let her through only because she was pretty. She wasn’t even that good when she did make the squad.

Glad I'm not the only one who thinks this. She is stunningly beautiful and graceful. Her talent was in classical dance and she never translated her skills to DCC routines. When she did the routines, her technique seemed clunky and awkward.
Apparently she also have a connection within the company somewhere as well which is why they pushed for her last season. But I guess it just wasn't enough to keep her. She's beautiful and lovely to see when its within her comfort zone.
I don't believe it about a connection. Can you actually see Jerry Jones telling Kelli to keep her? No way. She has been director for almost 30 years....just don't believe it. Why didn't she make it into camp the first year if that were true? Kelly was the only one who voted for her this year.

I feel like Meredith just lost her spark/passion for this. She got too comfortable in her spot as a “veteran” but the rookies this year are just soo strong it really shows. I just doubt she’ll be back next year. It’s like she just gave up. Poor girl.

@@EmVee. and it would've been the same exact routine...with the same outfit just different color top...not saying she is any less talented but it is making the team and they had the best new class (talent-wise) so far...it's like when they showed Hannah doing her same 3 signature moves...while amazing we have seen them sooo....
I'm not trying to be mean but i noticed that both her hip hop audition solo's looked a lot the same. Same trics, so it doesn't really looks new to me. I like Maddie and she has come a long way but I find that her solo's look all the same for me.
@@eskimo0 i agree- she's a wonderful dancer with a bunch of different tricks and styles under her belt but because she choreographs everything (or has the same choreographer) each year, her solos look quite similar. i think she could reach her full potential with some other choreographers or a different style influence (she's fully capable of doing something different but she's sticking to her comfort zone right now)

I feel like after that first office meeting, Meredith kinda gave up. She wasn't even trying during Charm's choreography, wasn't even using her plié. Tyce Diorio said something about her last year that she didn't "understand the movement". In her presentation last year she said that she had tried to audition on Broadway but it hasn't worked out. I think it takes her wayyy to long to learn and to perform a dance. Not to mention that the DCC style was definitely not her strong suit.

I remember the first year Meredith auditioned (when she did not make it into training camp) they did an in-depth backstory of how she wanted to be a dancer in New York, but got cut from basically everything. No doubt she’s a beautiful dancer with beautiful lines, but she needs to work on picking up choreo quickly and then performing it full out on the spot.
Broadway is EXTREMELY fast paced, and if you make a mistake--lead or chorus--you best not make it noticeable. I've never been on Broadway (but I love it and follow a lot of people), but my guess is that in auditions if you make a BIG mistake (i.e. turning wrong way, timing), you're out. Plus, you need to be able to sing and act, too.
@@bigonbooks4736, yes! That’s how it is in professional orchestras/bands, too. In an audition you screw up once or twice and you are out. Done.

I agree! At first sight of her I thought this was going to be legacy favoritism again but she is the real deal who made mistakes then made important corrections to now be a true leader. Love her!

Yeah apparently they didn't film Maddie this year, which to me is sadly signaling that this is probably going to be her last year and unfortunately she doesn't get to go out with much of a bang if that becomes true.
Armani is one of my favorites on the team & should have made show group. The judges play favorites as we saw from last year with Meredith 😡

Wait, didn’t Meredith have an entire year/game season to do every dance over and over again? How does she not know them?? I’m so confused
I’ve always wondered how many routines they retire from previous year.
This year the rookies learned 17 dances (at home via DVD) before arriving to TC which leads me to believe they learn about 30 new ones at some point during season.
Meredith struggled with the new routines taught by Charm and Evan.
In one clip they've posted on youtube, Meredith claimed training camp was a "catch up".. So she'd been using training camp to remember something that should already be ingrained in her muscle memory.
Meredith forgot that each and every year is starting over.. veteran's aren't guaranteed a spot, they have to earn it. She didn't earn it starting from day 1 she was bad and never got better.
She (as I got from different sideline watchers) made mistakes during the games and during the routines during halftime. There are some people that just can’t get their style. Sorry for Meredith.
I wish we knew how many games she actually danced at last year. Oh well...doesn't matter at this point. I think she is confused as to what training camp is about as a vet. Its not for catch up.
I love Meredith's dancing. It's what I live for on a show like SYTYCD. But it's just not for DCC. I also think she has a lack of self awareness. She claimed she was "caught off guard" by being called into the office, even though she was already there twice. I just don't think she gets it. She doesn't understand why she's not at the level, and she doesn't understand what she's doing wrong or how to fix it. She needs more classes where she's put under pressure to learn quickly, but with lower stakes. She's such a beautiful girl, and a beautiful dancer. But she needs more pom training to sharpen up her field skills.
More power jazz and hip hop. She danced too soft but I really liked her. I think they should've kept her.
They did meredith dirty last year... She was not and is not DCC material... she messed up during auditions, camp, practice, and games consistently but made the team due to her smile... she and kat should not have been or be on the team...
At least Kat is improving. I think the DCC style is more for her than it was for Meredith. Meredith is a beautiful dancer she should be on Broadway. Always sad to see someone’s heart be broken

Did her dirty? They let her be on the team that was her goal she has a years worth of memories and was a DCC. It was up to her to do more to do better.
I think you are saying what most are thinking. Neither are DCC level but both were allowed on because of their beauty, smile and personality. I think of 2 other candidates each year that lost an opportunity because Kelly was blinded by their esthetic. The judges say they have a standard but let people like Meredith on the team. Inconsistent. Both are beautiful souls though ❤
It’s annoying me how they’re still dwelling on last year rookies like Kat, Victoria, Meredith etc instead on focusing on new ones like they normally do
I just love the rookies this year from the snip bits we’ve been seeing and all I’m getting from these clips is the worst round of vets (in my opinion) and flash backs to last year...

Meredith shouldn’t have even made it through last year’s auditions, I’m surprised she didn’t get cut mid season. Seems like something that should have happened years ago.
They did Meredith dirty. Everyone saw how she should have not made the team last year and yet they still added her. Now giving her a veteran position and then just destroying her by removing her now. They were giving her so much attention that she was doing well in all actuality she never improved.

Yesssss!!! I feel like if they had cut her towards the end of training camp last year and told her exactly what she needed to work on she would’ve been so much better off as a performer because she would’ve had some experience in training camp and known what their expectations were for the team, but she would’ve also had a year to really take fast paced dance classes and learn to pick up hard hitting choreography better. I feel bad for her because Kelli and Judi made so many exceptions for her last year and made it so that she was unable to uphold the standard expected of her as veteran
Meredith is the reason she is getting cut not anyone else. She is a veteran and she is making excuses.
Meredith is responsible for bringing her “A Game” to every performance.

If there is one year to not care about missing SG, it's this one. I doubt there were/will be any SG appearances at all this season, it serves more as an unofficial confirmation of being a top 16 dancer for everyone who made it.

She’s my favorite! Not only is she a great dancer, she has a really fun and bubbly personality which makes her stand out to me more than any other rookie so far. I think that’s a reason why so many people love Kat (myself included). Maybe she’s not the strongest dancer all the time, but she’s so fun and bubbly! It’s hard to not like her!

Gina probably one of my fave vets this season. Her support for the girls, vet or rookie, always looks genuine and not forced. She looks like such a sweethart.

If you guys are able to watch these clips on TH-cam you most certainly can watch the whole episodes. You can buy the whole season on TH-cam and the episodes get added as they air. It takes a day or 2 for them to get posted sometimes, but the full episodes are available.

So if a veteran is cut this year and comes back next year, do they audition as a veteran candidate or are they put back to being a rookie because they missed a season?
They are considered a returning veteran candidate, I remember one season a veteran got a cut and the following season she tried out and was labeled returning veteran candidate... but she didn’t make the team again
They go right back to Prelims with everyone else. They may be called a "returning veteran", but they'd have to go through all the rounds again. Like blonde Jenna.

Sometimes it takes a few days for them to get posted, but the whole episodes are available. (Example: This last episode aired on Tuesday night, and it was added to TH-cam on Friday night.)

She’s really good with soft smoothing move sets.

All of the other judges said no, the proof was in the pudding at the first audition, Meredith bombed! Ok her solo was pretty but DCC mainly does hard hitting pom with some hip hop influences and she clearly cannot get a grip on that style. What was Kelly’s grounds for saying yes?! Kelly clearly favors her. I know she gets cuts in the end but I was flabbergasted by how many chances Kelly gives that girl.

dancing next to ashlee for charm's routine didn't do meredith any favours. same thing when they first all danced on the field for the judges, being inbetween lexie and cianna she just got so outshined

I thought at this point they have been quarantining in the same building, never leaving, with the same people for weeks? That’s why they call it a “bubble”, they haven’t been bringing any guests in or anything.
@@Wonderland. Not necessarily, the hotel staff and filming crew reportedly were not screened or had to follow the same protocol. In addition, some people shared on social media them going outside the bubble, like Kashara going to a wedding for a weekend.

I really love how they cheer for each other even though they are in a competition.
It warms my heart to see Victoria come so far. From her crazy first year in training camp when she got cut to now holding her own and standing strong as a DCC vet. I bet she had a chance of being a group leader in her 3rd year. I'm also hoping Gina is a group leader this year. I'm assuming they will have Maddie as point, perhaps Gina as backup point like what they did with Maddie when Amy was point.
It is already known that Maddie, Tess, Gina and Lexie are Group Leaders and that Maddie shares point with Rachel W

Jackie Bob was at one of the games and recorded the big screen where at some points in Thundershock you'll see a empty AT&T and Maddie and Rachel W were shown as point. It is on Jackies YT channel

And okay cool on Jackie Bob. With the rushed nature of the season and not doing it at the start this season has missed some things like the group leader/point announcements and the retiring veteran farewells and stuff.

based on her IG post, meredith is definitely permanently retired from DCC and based on her age, I would assume she's retiring from like professional dance teams/companies in general.

Hannah did an Amazing performance & one of the best. They voted to give her no’s & maybes because she was one of the woman that spoke out about 4 of the DCC women testing positive for COVID19 also they wanted to make it look like they got rid of her based on not performing well. You will see in some of the other previous videos Sydney you don’t see at all so I’m assuming she was one of them that was sick
Her solo was great but in one of the shots where she was dancing in a group she looked a little off to me.
She was stressed because they has Sternly warned her for speaking out about DCC participates getting COVID19 a as 4 of them at least got sick while Hannah was there. In past if any of the girls said Anything that the DCC team dreams negative then it’s reason for them to remove you. They wanted to make it look like Hannah did a bad job. Remember they are in charge of the camera film & can split & tape to put only the few mistakes on tv to make it look like mistakes is all she did. Hannah was one of the Strongest Best ones on the team

They cut Malena ( after auditioning 5times) in the last week every time... she had trouble learning routines but was a genuine sweet kind girl...

Sorry, but I didn't think Meredith should have ever been on the team. Especially when they turned down Lilly her first try out just because of her face. I didn't think Meredith ever got the style of dance down.
I love their picks for Show group..Victoria, Amanda, Chandi , Maddie , Caroline all had rocky starts on their season ..Nice to see them finally show that hard work and experience pays off in the end 👏
I truly don't think Meredith should've been on the team to begin with. But, her cut was absolutely heartbreaking, and I felt for her, and cried with her. She's a beautiful woman, and a BEAUTIFUL dancer. But maybe DCC isn't for her? Or maybe she should take Kelly's advice and work on her timing and all that. Loved her, I adored her. But I don't think she was right for the team, from the jump.
Meredith wasn’t a top contestant last season and came back weaker, playing “catching up”. I’m not surprised she knew that she was getting cut.

These choices that have to be made must be extremely hard on all parties. Everyone stepped up but some went backwards. Hopefully they will come back after more lessons in dance. 🙏❤️🙏❤️

There are much better classical dancers than her that don't get to work as dancers, ballet is an extremely competitive art, and very few of them get to sign with a ballet company, also, most ballerinas start retiring after they turn 30 so age is not in her favor either
Am I the only one who is wondering what their Corona guidelines are? Wearing masks but then dancing next to each other? When the show group was announced some of them pulled of their masks when walking.. I meannnn?! Why even put them on??? This makes me so frustrated!
