What’s the temp out there your hunting in fellas? I would love to be able to do a hunt like that, but I don’t think my old bones can make the trek… 😊
In the mornings it can get down to around 0 but normally around 10 degrees and then as the day goes on it comes up to around 15-17 depending on the day. Thanks for your comment mate, surly you could figure out a way to go for a hunt

You should get some dog's that Will actually hold
Not our preference mate, heaps of different ways of doing it
PIg looked more like 40, wet, than 83. A shot of the scales would clear that up though, cameras are deceptive. There would be some short-legged boys if the latter.
Shooting them has a lot of advantages if the shooter doesn't get excited & nail a dog. One suggestion to consider is not encouraging the dogs get stuck in when the pig drops. If slightly off target, resurrected angry pig & over-excited dog makes for chopped up dogs & vet bills, it happens fast.
And there are a few that it pays to be able to call the dogs off and give them best. There's always another day, & any disdainers can be told where to find it. Have know of a few that clinically kill dogs, some lasted few years before getting shot or old. One got 9 dogs known, shuts up the critics.
With several dogs it's even harder when having to crawl in not being able to see the dogs (or pig until possibly within touching distance), but with a single dog never actually had one charge on the (very few) that risk was taken, getting up beside the dog. That dog learned to get the pig to charge when told, & sorting a place with enough to swig the rifle & giving the order resulted in a dog flying past with a pig up it's freckle that would run right onto the barrel. More dogs probably wouldn't work so well.
nah mate i seen the pigs weight and it wasn't 40. But nah you don't catch dog killers very often so i don't think they really need to worry
