I honestly think Wei Ying would be better off with Lan Zhan than the Jiang sect. The Jiang family always expect him to do something (JYL too because I head canon that she unconsiously expected him to be all smiley and happy no matter what treatment was given by YZY) for them and for him to be as unobtrusive as possible. But Lan Zhan will always love Wei Ying no matter how he acts.
This is pretty accurate for me, we all know how much Lan Zhan loves Wei Wuxian, he would love to spend his last day with the person he loves the most. With Lan Xichen, I think he would like to spend even just an hour with his younger brother then let him spend the rest with Wei Wuxian.

We should make an effort to spend quality time with those who care for and love us the most, as we never know how much time we have left with them.
