Hi Yes, you can adjust the volume level for each speaker except the front tower speakers(Menu->sound level->.....) and can also adjust the distance for each speaker. I do own this audio system for more than a year now. It has another sound mode called "Digital Arena" that sounds good.

Average Indian my priority is loud bass and crystal clear sound for music. E 4100 is 20k cheaper then m 55. My room size is 10×30 sq.ft.
Then go for E 4100.... however, both systems dont have crystal clear sound. if that's what you are looking for, look at other brands.
