I just took this exact route today and passed! I practiced a day earlier to get familiar with Orangeville and the city speed. Thanks so much for the video tutorial and making it easy. I recommend visiting the small shops on Broadway while you're there, I celebrated with some cookies at the local cafe :>

Hello I passed my G test today this is the exact route.I practiced a lot in this route thank you so much Toronto Diaries.I was quite nervous as the 40km roads are all snow piled up in the curb so I had to reduce to 38-37 and also i did my test at 2:30 so lot of buses n school time.on top of that sun was hitting right on my face But I am happy the examiner was so polite forgot his name but he is a young man.in fact I asked him if it’s ok I took over the face mask as I was wearing my glasses he said “yes I want you to see properly “ 😅

@@torontodiaries Thanks, buddy! Unfortunately, I couldn't clear it due to observational mistakes, and the major one was I drove on 50 in a school zone. I also did some practice before my actual test but looks like I need to spend more time on my observation. The driving test was approx 20-25 mins and the instructor was very courteous. She even told me the areas I need to work on. Getting a date in Orangeville is pretty difficult as my next one is on Jan 16th.

@@khoaimioi: No. So I didn't join the route from 12:42 to the left. Instead, I came straight from the parallel road which is 50km and completely missed the signboard at 13:57. It's a tricky point since the 40 km is mentioned in a tiny space.

I live in Etobicoke, and want to go to Orangeville for the G test, I've heard sometimes examiners notice this, and fail out of spite for assuming the test is easier, any truth to this?
I have my G test scheduled for Jnauary 18th and I am scared. This video is very helpful with the tips and the techniques. I have a question. When the street diverges into 2 lanes from one and we go in the right lane, do we need to give the indicator then as well or just keep to the right and keep in the right lane? Thanks.

Yes, it is still modified. No parallel parking and three-point turn on G tests.

Yes, this route is still valid. One of the other easiest route is Newmarket. Examiners are even a little lenient there. Here is the video.

Hi, I have g2 that expired few months ago but is still valid till 31st December 2022 . So can I take G2 Test(g1 exit test) again to extend the validity for another 5 years? or should I take G test only? So what happens if my license expires by the end of this month? I have read that you have to start all over again, but should we have to wait for 12 months to give the road test again? That doesn't seem fair.

Your g2 will be valid till Dec 31, 22 but in any case, you have to start from scratch I mean even if you take G2 or G and fail. My advice, take G. For your second question, Once getting G1, you can go immediately for G2 test. Good luck

Why are you titling your video in English if the video is not in English! When we open the video after reading the English title viewers expect the video to be in English. Title your video in the same language of the video or mention the language in brackets or give subtitles in English if you really want to title it in English. This will help you to get less dislikes.

They will ship you the card, after 5 years you need to renew the card.

Do we need to keep our blind spot, lane assist etc sensors off for the test or they can be on as default ?
They can be on the default setting, like you need to look back in place of just looking at the back camera. Similarly, you need to manually check blind spots by turning your neck around 90 degrees.

Test and route was easy .
the instructor took me on a different route ,
Insteat of going right she took me on the left . You know when we leave the plaza,
I made first mistake there and i was too much on the left side which was not good for the oncoming traffic .
I also intended to turn on green when the advance turned off i shouldve waited on green signals . I rebooked my test in January and hoping to clear this time
This time i decided to go with the instructor to keep my morals high rather than going with my husband and baby . 😂

@@soniaqureshi8469 Sorry to hear about it. Please practice atleast 2-3 times before your actual test. All the best for your next attempt. Newmarket is also an easy route with lenient examiners. I have seen examiners passing people even with a few mistakes. I will be uploading that video on Thursday. Do watch that route once.

The first left off the highway we must go in the first lane although it starts late am I right? cause other videos I see they don't merge tot he right?
Ideally you should merge, because we do not drive in the passing lane in case there are two lanes.

Will the examiner ask you to go on these streets and change lanes, or you need to memorize route
Examiner will tell you in advance. One thing you have to do by yourself, after taking a left turn you have to change lanes.

You're latest modified G test route is accurate. I love the "Do not do this!" on-screen post, funny but true! Keep within speed limit folks. Keep your distance from other vehicles. Check your mirrors and blind spots (MSB). I love Orangeville! Thanks, and good luck.

@@Travelandfood- hey man. Yep it was exactly the same as this. If not for this video I likely would have failed. I was a 'close' pass i think haha...and knowing where the yield and school signs were and murmuring to myself out loud like 'oh, yield' or 'oh..school zone, slow down and watch for kids' showed the instructor i wasn't a menace to society out there and was paying attention even if my right turns were super wide and i accelerated slowly when getting on the 'highway' haha.

Do you not take a main highway on this route?
We take left on Highway 10. The speed limit is 80kmph. One of the easiest route.

You'll have to take the highway twice with 2 different routes. So I would suggest going and taking practice 2-3 times as the conditions might change in snow. Also, do not book anything after 1 pm as the city gets pretty crowded.

You just have to do a front parking in a parking slot back at the drive test center. No parallel parking on road side emergency stop.
