there's absolutely no shame in taking 3, absolutely nothing wrong. i decided to take 4 subjects going into year 12, doing english lit, spanish, politics & philosophy. i quickly became absolutely overwhelmed so decided to drop the subject i disliked the most, aka philosophy. there are people i know who are studying 4 this year (13) and an EPQ, and have a job, and are planning on doing work experience etc etc. it's all about different minds
I completely agree 💛 it's highly recommended at my school (and the timetables are definitely geared towards people taking 3!), but I can understand why people would take 4. At the end of the day, I think I felt it better to do well in 3 and secure a place at a university I'd love to attend, than struggle or overwhelm myself with 4. I mean doing 3 isn't exactly easy either haha! Although I'll miss English immensely, the time I've already gained is really helping my stress levels and aiding with the balancing act of sixth form!! Glad you made the decision best for you too. Lots of love xx
UnJaded Jade absolutely & the same to you. May we all prosper in this year and get the best grades possible :D Will you be making videos about your UCAS/university journey at all? I'd love to hear advice & about your experience xx
well yeah most sixth forms and colleges require you to drop a subject in year 13, unless they think you can handle it, as unis only ask for 3 alevels, not 4
I am glad I took three options. I wanted to take four intially but I thought to myself 'what is the point if i am most probably going to drop one?' I get to concentrate on my options too! I have to travel to school so yep!! Have to make the most of it 😊😊
Yeah I feel, some people feel pressured to do 4 subjects. I’m considering making a video talking about that esp for prospective Medics. Whether you do 3 or 4, you are completely justified 😊📚
I completely understand you!! ❤️ doing 4 really is not necessary at all nowadays, especially if you already have to spend time travelling long distances to school etc. Lots of love xx
I did the same with art, it was always known as my favourite subject but I had to drop it and it ended up being a good decision. I do feel like I've lost something but I can do art for myself rather than have it marked. x thank you for sharing this x
I 100% relate and know how you feel! I went through exactly the same thing and feelings last year, and to be honest they didn't really go away throughout the year... Everything happens for a reason though and doing all 4, as you said, would have been too much, but I get it's hard
Hahaha I LOVE your support ❤️ thank you so much. I'm horribly indecisive and this caused perhaps more stress than it really should have haha! Lots of love my friend xx
I did exactly the same as you doing bio maths chem and English lit then dropping English. It’s so sad and feels like the end of an era- especially because English lit classes are small and like a little family of discussion. I would advise dropping in on a few sessions, and as you said- keep reading! Getting into uni will be worth it Jade, carry on :) x
I'm in Canada, and I am the same age as you, and it's comforting to know that the struggle with Chemistry is universal! haha I had a very similar experience to you; lots of stress, tears, and anxiety. Since I don't want to pursue sciences at university, I decided that it was the right thing for me to drop it. For me, it wasn't useful enough to warrant the stress and work I had to put into it (it is by far the hardest thing I've done!). But for you I think that when you get to uni you will likely be glad you saw the chem a-level through. English is mandatory for us, so I didn't have to choose between the two.
YES! I feel you. I completely understand, and particularly if it's unnecessary for your chosen career path, I think it's such a good thing you dropped it. I can already see the overlap for myself between biology and chemistry, and I know deep down I've made the right decision (despite missing my English class immensely!). All these big decisions are tough; and nothing ever seems to be wholly 'right'. Good luck with the rest of the year!! x
I took 4 subjects at A2 and can confirm that it is a huge amount of work, I ended with ABBC, and feel like I could have done better if I'd have dropped one. Also I love reading too, would like to maybe see a monthly book favourite video from you or something similar 😊
this was interesting to watch because in Australia, it is compulsory that every student takes either English, English Literature or English Language (a study of grammar) and every other subject is (thankfully) optional :). I wish you all the best and I am sure you have made the best decision for yourself :) xx
Hey Jade, I am from Germany and studied plantbiotechnology and horticulture. Last years in school besides math I focused on languages like german, english and french lessons because that were the subjects which came naturally to me and that I didnt need to put much effort in. I had a really hard time during my first year at university because I was eally missing the basic knowledge in bio and chemistry. I made it anyways but the whole time I wished I already put my attention to it during school. So...I think you did the right thing! Books are still my favourite but just for me, for my free time and this is great!
I totally feel you! I dropped History which is something I enjoy studying so much 😿 but continue on studying Biology, Chemistry and Maths towards my dream of studying Biological Science at university. But as I am filling in UCAS and all sorts of thing, I am really sure that I did the right decision. I used to be bad at Chemistry at the start of AS but now that I think about all the chemistry stuffs that I had came through I eventually love it and enjoy studying it. All the best to you Jade! ❤️
Aw I dropped further maths this year because I was doing too much maths- I'm a bit sad bc there are so few girls doing further maths (only one now) so I wanted to prove a point but at the same time I need to make sure I get an A in maths this year. I feel you 💕 it's hard though
Got to do what you feel is right for you, I stuck with four and ended up with 3A*s and an A, but it was definitely hard work- and if you don't need it, why put yourself through it? I pushed through because I knew in myself I couldn't drop one, but once again, YOU know what's best for you.
Hey Jade! I'm just like you! I always thought I wanted to be a vet but then I changed my mind to biology! I just started university this week and I am completely in love and content !!
All the best Jade!! Do not feel like you are betraying yourself by dropping a subject you are extremely passionate about. And I know you know that already, as you are a self-sustaining young lady. I myself am having the same issue for choosing subjects at A level. Enjoy what you are doing, and HUSTLEEEEE. Thank you again for all the inspiration you throoow like confetti on me!! xx
aw jade! i am also a very englishy person and want to take it for a-level next year along with history and german and i couldnt imagine my school life without it but i completely respect your decision and i know you will thank yourself for it in the future xx
In year 12 I took 4 subjects; Film, French, Creative Writing and Photography. This year I dropped Creative Writing, it was so weird to say goodbye to it but I've definitely made the right decision! Totally understand Jade x
Yay!! a new upload! in a way, i'm glad that our year aren't doing AS level as i know it'd be hard to pick one to drop as i'm so obsessive but i'm so glad you're gonna have more time to focus now and such! x
Jade, honestly if you truly aren't happy about your decision you can change it I'm sure. It won't affect your university decision too badly. I know from having graduated this year having English can really help your profile. But I completely understand and I wish you the best xxx
Aww Im from Scotland and for my Higher English I am studying Carol Ann Duffy! I also take English And Chemistry but I think you made the right decision for your future. Lots of love
ahhh no 😭 i just started sixth form and im doing english lit (loving it so far despite all the essays) so it makes me suuper sad to see you drop it bcs as a fellow literature lover i understand your pain.......
Is had the exact same dilemma in September too! I was doing Physics, Chemistry, Maths, and Further Maths and got all As too. I thought I wanted to do Chemical Engineering but I went through year 12 hating chem and realising I just wanted to do chem eng because t was kind of relevant for all of my subjects, when really what I actually enjoyed best was physics. So I dropped chemistry this year and am SO MUCH HAPPIER that I have time! I hope your happy with your decision!
Chemistry made me feel miserable at alevels too, but I enjoyed it so I went to uni to do chemistry and it's very stressful but you just learn to accept it!
As a second year Biology student, you will be SO glad you kept chemistry! I still use it almost every week and it'll really make your first year a little easier :)
Big decisions suck, to put it bluntly, but sometimes you just gotta bite the bullet and future jade seemed happy with the choice so it's good to hear that a week later it's going good
Yes I totally agree Jade, everything happens for a reason and it'll all work out fine. You are already doing so incredibly well in life you've nothing to worry about: you're kind, beautiful, friendly and smart! I have been in a situation like this but only it was for my GCSE options and I was torn between history and art. I even got anxiety and worry throughout school because of it as I was so indecisive! Eventually I chose history and I'm mmm glad I did so choosing chemistry is definitely better for the situation you're in! ❤️❤️❤️
you seem very intelligent so i'm sure you will do fine, A2 chemistry is a hell of a lot of work though so make sure your ready for it, it was the reason i ended up with AAC cause chemistry was so hard.
i understand how you feel tbh. i just started year 12, and i had wanted to do german chem maths and further. there was a clash between me and the teacher of the maths, so i switched to the other core maths class, but i had to drop german to do it. german isnt relevant to whatever i want to do but it does make me sad because i had such a passion for german, but at the end of the day maths is 50% of my course, and i am glad i switched. a part of me will probably always regret not keeping it on but i know its the best decision bc i didnt want to do german at university, instead something science based
Thank you so much! And I completely agree 💛 the lamp is from a yoga show I went to haha, but I'm fairly certain if you type in Himalayan salt lamps online, you'll find an equally pretty one ;) x
i predicted by the title that it would be chemistry because i knew about how much you worried about it but i understand your decision...and maths is a science now?? haha i had no idea
Honestly, if you'd asked me 6 months ago, it would have been! But after I proved to myself in the exam that with hard work, i truly should be okay, I guess it helped make the decision a lil easier ❤️ and hahaha yep, almost all universities count it as one!! Lots of love ✨ xxx
I would assume Maths is consisdered a Science due to it being a STEM (Science, Tech, engineering, and mathematics) subject. Could be completely wrong but the subjects listed as the 2nd science to have for a couple of Bio courses in Unis I looked at seem to list subjects that are classified as a Stem subject as a 2nd science you can have.
I'm very proud of you, you are so smart ! Well done for not dropping chemistry and challenging yourself! You probably won't see this comment but I love your channel and I found it when you had only posted 2 videos😱 !!! ❤️
That really means a lot - thank you so much!! 💖 you're so right. It would have been the easy option to drop it, when I've proven to myself that with a lot of hard work, it can all be okay. Wow! Thank you for being here with me from the start ;) I appreciate it my friend xx
AWW!! i hope you are happy and achieve your dreams. i was hoping you do an English AS level revision video cuz i am super stressed about it especially Biology as there are so much content. Going to 6th form is not what i look forward to
everything happens for a reason and sometimes we just have to take a little while to think, and do what we feel is right at the time. you can always do a seminar on English or something like that later down the road, if you are a still interested. lots of love!. (also, sorry for my poor English , I'm from Argentina )
Omg I relate to this, after wanting to do Medicine for about 2 years I have completely gone off it and my A-Level choices were initially Biology, Chemistry, Psychology and English Lit. I have always been an English person who loves writing, researching, and reading, and now I don’t want to do anything medical I changed Chemistry to English Language. If I want to do an English degree which is possible I could drop Biology and just do Lit, Lang, and Psych which I think is really nice.
Omg I have to do a decision like that later in the year. I have to decide if I take a class with antic history, literature, philosophy and modern history or if I take a class with math, social sciences and philosophy. It's a really hard choice because for my future it would be better to take the second one but I am not really good in math and I love antic history but I don't know if I will find a job later... so yeah I have to think about it more ^^
Chemistry is horrendous and is my most despised subject in the world but as a first year university student that is studying science it is so worth it. A lot of the biology is chemically based. You have made a great decision as sad as it may seem!!
I stood in a very similar position having to choose between latin/greek and biology/chemistry/physics. I eventually chose latin/greek and even though I today after finishing highschool (it's called something different in danish but whatever) want to study molecular biology in uni, I have no regrets. Instead I am reading all the subjects I need for molecular biology now, and I really enjoy having been able to study both, because the humanistic subjects have given me such a great understanding of the world I wouldn't have had having only studied science-based subjects.
I don't know if this is good or bad(i mean it in a good way) but you remind me so much of my biology/chemistry teacher! I absolutely loved that teacher until I dropped those subjects( they're not my thing). Anyways i absolutely love your video! Stay strong Jade, the universe will lead you💫
I was doing Bio, Chem, Maths and Psychology last year. I dropped Psychology and it was the hardest thing everPsychology was my break and I enjoyed the lessons so much. The teacher was amazing. Thb I understand where you're coming from because this year I only had one more paper to get ready for since I did two last year. Although it doesn't count I feel as if all of my hard work last year for psychology was for nothing. But I know that I would make the same choice again and again. And hey we do the same A levels now
Snap! I dropped history to focus on bio, chem and maths. Arts subjects definitely take up so much time and now i have lots of frees to ace my other subjects. You definitely made the right choice😘
In a way I'm glad I did the subjects I did because I didn't have to drop one. I'm indecisive enough as it is. Here's what I did: Year 12 (AS year): A2 French (I had done AS French in years 10, 11 after doing GCSE in years 8, 9); AS maths and A2 maths; AS Spanish. So kinda counted as 4 subjects. Year 13 (A2 year): dropped French because I had completed A2 already; dropped maths as I had completed A2 already; did AS further maths and A2 further maths; did A2 Spanish. :)
I relate to this sm. Couldnt choose English for as bc the uni i want to go to doesnt need it and i love english sm it used to be my favourite subject. This vid is basically my thoughts put into a vid !! Ly
I've just started AS now doing Law, Sociology, Psychology and Politics and can already tell that this time next year I'll be in such a dilemma. I'm enjoying all of them so much and am really into the A2 courses all have to offer to. Doing four isn't really an option - my college's Oxbridge programme strongly recommends only carrying 3 onto A2 to get the best grades. I'm happy now but I know the conflict will come next year... Hopefully results and gut will tell me what to do
I'm doing AS Chemistry this year along with Biology Geography and Psychology and I'm quite concerned by how hard you found it!!! It's not been that hard so far but I'm only three weeks in so god knows what is waiting for me around the corner! O.O
Ahh i just started year 12 at a new school and I'm thinking of taking biological sciences too jade! Wishing you best of luck with your final year and I'm glad you're in a better position now with at least some weight taken off your shoulders. I remember watching your advice videos before taking my gcses and will always continue to follow your channel! Your videos definitely have always been there for me and really made me feel so supported. If you made it through then I can too :) lots of love♡
In all honesty, I dropped Biology because, although I enjoyed reading and remembering the theories, I have been having difficulties keeping up with the practicals and it does sound ridiculous to drop a subject because of just the practicals but practicals play just equally huge parts as the multiple choice questions and structured questions papers. My Biology teacher did mention that it isn't worth the struggle since, sure, there aren't as many universities that accepts students to study Medicine without Biology as their A Levels but there will always be exceptions. Especially if you can do very well with lots of effort. And to be frank, I have never felt such depth of sadness because Biology is my favourite subject but when it comes to the requirements needed for the career I want, I'd say a little sacrifice is needed. The good news is that I was able to focus more on Chemistry and because I already had an idea that I am ASTRONOMICALLY WEAK in Chemistry (mostly Inorganic), I have been feeling less stressed since I do not have to worry about Biology on my plate and focus on the great Chemistry, itself. Overall, it comes down to what you want to work as in the future. It can give a tad bit, clearer pathway to the subjects you should focus on. To those who will be sitting for the Oct/Nov exams, good luck!!!
I find it interesting you didn't drop Chemsitry - Particularly if you admit you don't like it as much! I wouldn't call English Lit the "odd one out" - Having one strong essay based subject with 2 sciences are brilliant. But I understand why you did what you did! ☺️
Hey Jade... Congratulations on making your decision, I decided last week to carry on biology, history, and English lit and drop politics which I was quite sad about, but appreciating the frees 😀
I'm sure you made the right decision for you. I can only continue supporting you like always because you're so inspiring in many ways. Continue making whatever makes you happy. So much love from Mexico.💓🇲🇽
Thank you for this video Jade! I'm doing 4 AS levels and i'm not sure whether I should carry on with all of the 4 or drop one and focus on 3. I think it's better to get 3 really good grades rather than 4 average ones and this video helped me realize that as well as being able to have time for myself too, so thank you!💕💕
hi jade! i absolutely love your videos, but being from the states I am always very lost and confused when you discuss A levels and GSCE and 6th form!! I've always watched them because they're incredible interesting and your drive and passion for school is so amazing, but do you think you could do a whole video explaining the UK education system? I would appreciate it so so much!!
Catherine Turner The education system in the UK varies. In England, we do GCSEs, whereas they do something called "National 5" in Scotland (I'm not quite sure what they do in Ireland and in Wales). We do our GCSEs at the end of our last year at school (year 11). They are useful if you want to continue certain subjects to A-Level. A-Levels are done from year 12 to year 13 (so a total of two years), and they go into so much more detail in the subject and teach advanced concepts (hence the "A" in A-Level meaning "Advanced"). Our A-Levels are similar to your AP, but we don't do A-Levels to get credit for university (like your AP). Instead. A-Levels determines if we get into uni or not. I hope that helps.
Hey Jade! Just wanna say that I'm in the same situation as you (ish?) - I'm also in Year 13 now, and I did Chemistry, French, Eng lit, Psych and EPQ for year 12, hoping to study law with french law at uni. But because of a clash I only had three hours of french per fortnight which I wasn't very happy with because I had to do all the content at home so I (very sadly) decided to drop Chemistry and I felt exactly the same as you did - but we do really come through! I felt like my frees really help, I'm also the vice chair for our PLT so I have more responsibilities student leadership-wise. Good luck with more frees and responsibilities!!! ❤️❤️❤️
I dropped Further Maths and I know what you mean about feeling sad! I miss how involved all Further students are in the lessons 💔 at the same time though, I couldn't be happier that I dropped it because I have no free time now as it is and I don't think that I could have managed it this year.
i'm so stuck and would really appreciate some advice. basically, next year, i can either go to the public college and take subjects that i'd prefer or i can stay on at my school for sixth form. ultimately, i'd do better at sixth form because i wouldn't be allowed to procrastinate, but the subjects at my school aren't really the ones that i'd enjoy. urgh
Still proud of you, always have been, always will be. Just hope that this is what you want, after all this is all your choice and you deserve to enjoy all that you do. Always here for a chat gal xxx As always, Love from the Northern Irish one ❤❤
I'm feeling you on this one jade right now I take maths , physics Chem and psychology and I'm supposed to drop one at one point but I can't decide especially since I don't know what I want to do later in life sighhhhhh anyways best of luck this year jade I know you will smash it ✨
I started A Levels this year with 4 subjects (biology, chemistry, psychology and geography) and had a similar dilemma! I knew I couldn't cope with 4 and wanted to drop down to 3 by the end of September, but needed to choose based on what I want to do at uni (biological sciences/neuroscience). I'm really struggling with chemistry and loved GCSE geography, but in the end I dropped geography because I knew that chemistry would be invaluable! So I'm in the same sad situation as you rn 💕💕
Jade, babe! Im doing biology BSc at Southampton uni and I dropped chemistry at AS! I did Biology, geography and psych! Please reconsider English!!!! I had to do a chem module in first year which was easier than AS chem x.
When i got my GCSE results in August my heart broke because i got a grade 4 in maths and i wanted to do Sciences at my Alevels which meant i couldnt and it was so so awful but i dealt with it. So I just started Year 12 and i decided to go to a different school, i took English Lit, History and Pschology. I realised really quickly that i hated the school so i immediately started making plans to go back to my old school.. Then i found out that i was one mark off a grade 5 so i got it remarked. Meanwhile my old school said they would take me on their Biology course and oh my god i was on cloud 9 it felt amazing. So i switched schools and dropped History (i never really wanted to do it anyway). 2 weeks in i was finding myself dreading going to my English classes, so i then had the decision on whether to drop it and switch to a different course even though im like you, i love books and analysing and writing. Eventually i decided to start doing Chemistry, so i’m now perfectly on route to becoming a Vet like i desperately want to do. But my god, Chemistry is so hard. I understand your struggle on what to drop and girl ur brave for making that choice in the first place. I love your videos and they will continue getting me through my Alevels, good luck lovely :)
I don't need any subject requirements to do law or accounting at university but need AAA or BBC, I do psychology, business, accounting and law where the syllabus overlap a lot. I got As at GCSE, should I keep them all or drop one? Please help
Loved your video again jade!!! Liked before watching as per!!! You're literally the fastest growing channel I've ever seen ! You'll be at 100k before you know ! 🍉😍😍😁
Awhhh Amelia!! 💜 bless you, thank you so much for the kind words and support! Honestly, I surprise myself with it everyday. 100,000 is incomprehensible; even if I achieved it, I don't think I'd ever even be able to visualise that many people haha! Thank you so so much my friend xxx
I dropped English Lang&Lit in year 12 last year and honestly it was the best decision ever as the lessons were extremely boring and I didn't enjoy it at all. Now I'm in year 13 doing Chemistry, Biology and Geography :)
I'm going into year 12 in January (I'm from New Zealand) and we have a different system where we have to take the same amount of subjects as we did in year 11, but the sciences split and maths also splits into 2. I chose my subjects and I had to drop both Textiles and Music which I loved this year but I really needed to take all three sciences. Don't get me wrong I love the sciences but they're very academic. We have to take English and a Maths (I'm taking calculus) but my 'fun' subject is Japanese, but I'm doing it a year below through correspondence, so it doesn't actually count for anything so I'll have spare time in that class if I need it. Thanks for the video Jade ❤️
I just started Year 12 and I am currently trying to change one of my subjects, I initially picked Biology, Psychology, Law, and I knew taking Law would be a risk as I would either love it or hate it. Unfortunately I am not enjoying it at all, and I have an interview tomorrow about changing to Maths!
HELP!- I've just started Year 12 and im currently doing 4 A-Levels ( History, Design Technology, English Lit and Theology and Philosophy) , I need to go down to three A-levels because of the amount of work coming from each subject is just too much altogether to manage and I feel like I would do a lot better overall with three A-levels rather than doing 4, however im really stuck on what to drop, if I had to choose it would probably be between English Lit or TP because im pretty good at TP like in the work that ive had recently I've been getting top grades but the problem is im not really that interested in the topics, plus my teacher makes lessons a nightmare to get through lessons, where with English im really interested in the course and the teacher is soooo good, without her I think I would have failed GCSE English if I didn't go to her revision classes, the only thing is I have always been a C student in English, mostly because I never properly knew what to write, however for GCSE I got an A. SO basically to make this all easier to read do I take the subject which I don't really enjoy, however im slowly starting to and could get a really good grade in or do I take the subject that I really enjoy and am engaged in and work harder to get the same sort of grade????
I think, if you want, you should start a book club and share what books you love and recommend to try and rekindle your love for English...? Xx p.s I'd love some recommendations xxxx
we still want that how to revise English lit a level video good sis
Of course I'll still do plenty of English revision videos ;))) I won't let you drown haha xx
Omg if she found chem hard I'm skorooooooed
Looooorrrrdddd help me
Hamza h 😂
Parker who*
How was chem?
lol i was waiting for the hey guys and welcome back to unjaded jade
Hahaha I knew as soon as I missed it out that something just wasn't right ;) x
there's absolutely no shame in taking 3, absolutely nothing wrong. i decided to take 4 subjects going into year 12, doing english lit, spanish, politics & philosophy. i quickly became absolutely overwhelmed so decided to drop the subject i disliked the most, aka philosophy. there are people i know who are studying 4 this year (13) and an EPQ, and have a job, and are planning on doing work experience etc etc. it's all about different minds
Lots of love xx
amelia cool to be honest unless you're doing a straight masters there's no real need to do 4 alevels
UnJaded Jade absolutely & the same to you. May we all prosper in this year and get the best grades possible :D Will you be making videos about your UCAS/university journey at all? I'd love to hear advice & about your experience xx
well yeah most sixth forms and colleges require you to drop a subject in year 13, unless they think you can handle it, as unis only ask for 3 alevels, not 4
amelia cool you hated philosophy? how come? i'm in year 11 and thinking of taking it as an a level but wondering what it's actually like :)
I am glad I took three options. I wanted to take four intially but I thought to myself 'what is the point if i am most probably going to drop one?'
I get to concentrate on my options too!
UnJaded Jade Thanks Jade! Hope you have been feeling okay over the last few days 🤗🤗xx
No matter what anybody says I am sure you are a lovely person xx
Asclepium Yep I get you!! Personally I wanted to take four because I love being busy with academics haha xx🤗🤗💞💞💕💕💖
UnJaded Jade Please don't try to please everyone Jade because you'll never win - trust me; speak your mind and be yourself xx
I did the same with art, it was always known as my favourite subject but I had to drop it and it ended up being a good decision. I do feel like I've lost something but I can do art for myself rather than have it marked. x thank you for sharing this x
I relate to this so so much 💛 I truly appreciate you sharing your experience! Lots of love x
I 100% relate and know how you feel! I went through exactly the same thing and feelings last year, and to be honest they didn't really go away throughout the year... Everything happens for a reason though and doing all 4, as you said, would have been too much, but I get it's hard
Appreciating your insight my friend 💛 I feel in my gut it was the right decision, despite being a sad one ;( x
Stop everything, Jade just posssttteddddd!! Well done for making that tough decision. 💪🏻💕
Hahaha I LOVE your support ❤️ thank you so much. I'm horribly indecisive and this caused perhaps more stress than it really should have haha! Lots of love my friend xx
Hey jade what about starting a Goodreads group so that way you can still talk about and discuss books?
Awh jade I'm sure you made the right choice :) best of luck x
I truly hope so 💜 thank you so much xxx
stick with what you love, what you are passionate about will shine through
So proud of you jade ❤️
Good luck with the rest of your a levels, love u ❤️
I did exactly the same as you doing bio maths chem and English lit then dropping English. It’s so sad and feels like the end of an era- especially because English lit classes are small and like a little family of discussion. I would advise dropping in on a few sessions, and as you said- keep reading! Getting into uni will be worth it Jade, carry on :) x
I actually appreciate so much that you take your free time to run this channel. Such an inspiration!
Awhhh bless you! Means a lot 💘 people like you are the reason I truly love doing this x
Good luck with the rest of the year!! x
Lots of love from Portugal Jade!!! You are such an inspiration to all of us! Thank you for being the amazing person you are!
i feel like jade is going through a hard time at the moment, hang in there gal, much love
Haha, I unfortunately have to agree I've felt a lil low recently 💛 thank you so much - it really means a lot xx
A choice is right, as long as you feel comfortable with it! :) You're a real inspiration xx
I like to think so too 💗 bless you, I really appreciate it my friend!! Thank you for being here x x
Every thing happens for a very good reason ✨remember that I hope your happy and well💖
I could not agree more ❤️ thank you so much xx
UnJaded Jade 💖💖
Hey Jade! I'm just like you! I always thought I wanted to be a vet but then I changed my mind to biology! I just started university this week and I am completely in love and content !!
No wayyy ah that's so lovely to know! 🦋 wishing you luck this year xx
Thank you so much! Good luck for you too, Jade! I'm confident you made the right decision! xoxo
Thank you again for all the inspiration you throoow like confetti on me!! xx
you're a super bright girl jade and you can succeed in whatever you do, good luck for the future xxxx
aw jade! i am also a very englishy person and want to take it for a-level next year along with history and german and i couldnt imagine my school life without it but i completely respect your decision and i know you will thank yourself for it in the future xx
In year 12 I took 4 subjects; Film, French, Creative Writing and Photography. This year I dropped Creative Writing, it was so weird to say goodbye to it but I've definitely made the right decision! Totally understand Jade x
Proud of you!! 💗💗💗💕
Thank you so so much Adam! ❤️🙈 x
Yay!! a new upload! in a way, i'm glad that our year aren't doing AS level as i know it'd be hard to pick one to drop as i'm so obsessive but i'm so glad you're gonna have more time to focus now and such!
SUCH amazing insight, thank you for sharing!! Truly hoping I made the right decision, which I'm feeling as though I have done 💜 x
I'm proud of you for making that decision!
This is totally the correct thing to do! It's easier to get 3A/A*'s than 4, you're really improving your chances of getting top grades x
i understand how you feel tbh. i just started year 12, and i had wanted to do german chem maths and further. there was a clash between me and the teacher of the maths, so i switched to the other core maths class, but i had to drop german to do it. german isnt relevant to whatever i want to do but it does make me sad because i had such a passion for german, but at the end of the day maths is 50% of my course, and i am glad i switched. a part of me will probably always regret not keeping it on but i know its the best decision bc i didnt want to do german at university, instead something science based
Nice video! it's so nice to be able to focus! xx
Also where did you get your crystal lamp? It looks so nice! xx
Thank you so much! And I completely agree 💛 the lamp is from a yoga show I went to haha, but I'm fairly certain if you type in Himalayan salt lamps online, you'll find an equally pretty one ;) x
Thank you! I'm sure i've seen them before somewhere! xx
FINALLLLLYY ANOTHER UPLOAD❤️
i predicted by the title that it would be chemistry because i knew about how much you worried about it but i understand your decision...and maths is a science now?? haha i had no idea
Going to 6th form is not what i look forward to
everything happens for a reason and sometimes we just have to take a little while to think, and do what we feel is right at the time. you can always do a seminar on English or something like that later down the road, if you are a
still interested. lots of love!.
Stay strong Jade, the universe will lead you💫
Haha, I will take that ;) 🦋 thank you so much my friend. Your support, particularly now in the hectic Sept month, means a lot xx
You definitely made the right choice😘
hope you have a great yearxx
In a way I'm glad I did the subjects I did because I didn't have to drop one. I'm indecisive enough as it is.
Here's what I did:
Year 12 (AS year): A2 French (I had done AS French in years 10, 11 after doing GCSE in years 8, 9); AS maths and A2 maths; AS Spanish. So kinda counted as 4 subjects.
Year 13 (A2 year): dropped French because I had completed A2 already; dropped maths as I had completed A2 already; did AS further maths and A2 further maths; did A2 Spanish.
:)
Glad you are happy Jade!xx
I relate to this sm. Couldnt choose English for as bc the uni i want to go to doesnt need it and i love english sm it used to be my favourite subject. This vid is basically my thoughts put into a vid !! Ly
Don't ever let TH-cam pressure you x keep up your amazing work at collage x
Hi Jade, just wanted to make sure you know you are awesome 💖
I love you so much xxxx
I know you will succeed whichever path you take so try not to over stress 💛💛
I've just started AS now doing Law, Sociology, Psychology and Politics and can already tell that this time next year I'll be in such a dilemma. I'm enjoying all of them so much and am really into the A2 courses all have to offer to. Doing four isn't really an option - my college's Oxbridge programme strongly recommends only carrying 3 onto A2 to get the best grades. I'm happy now but I know the conflict will come next year... Hopefully results and gut will tell me what to do
I know these decisions in life can be really hard to make , but it seems like you made the right one ! Best of luck to you !!
Heyy jade!!
Can you do a video on GCSE drama since you've done it, and there aren't many videos/tips on drama?
PS- love your videos! 😁
Always here for a chat gal xxx As always, Love from the Northern Irish one ❤❤
you could always use here as a place to talk about books and release your English passion x
You know, I was thinking the same thing 💘 doors never completely close when passion still exists x x
I'm feeling you on this one jade right now I take maths , physics Chem and psychology and I'm supposed to drop one at one point but I can't decide especially since I don't know what I want to do later in life sighhhhhh anyways best of luck this year jade I know you will smash it ✨
Best of luck with your A levels :)
Your TH-cam channel is amazing keep being you !!
Three is definitely the right decision to make, not worth spreading yourself out to widely. x
Love youuu so much x
Completely relate!! I love English but didn't take it for A level, feel the exact same xx
Aww thats a shame, I'm starting my English degree next week! But I'm sure your decision will be worth it in the end and you're gonna do amazingggg
Rosie Wilcox how is it going?
Are you going to do a video on UCAS/applying to uni? It'd be interesting to know where you're applying :)x
Hey jade! Could you do a curly hair routine? Adore your hair and wondered what products you used (if any) to define your curls. Thank you xx
Someone in my school got 5 A2 results. She got 4A*'s and an A... currently studying at MIT.
bit of a stretch - is this tarsi by any chance?
Tafsia
Wow!! Madness. That's so amazing for her! 🦋
Aesthetical Animosity my sister got 4 A* at A level and an extra A at an AS. Letting that legacy down was funnnn
Aesthetical Animosity I meant to say tafsia - my phone autocorrected! I went to an Oxford summer school with her :D
I think, if you want, you should start a book club and share what books you love and recommend to try and rekindle your love for English...? Xx p.s I'd love some recommendations xxxx
