Excellent review, Chrispy! I have this figure too and I think its awesome. But I do notice that it has a body sculpt the same as the ultimate "Michael Myers" from "Halloween" (2018).
Pretty much, except for the boots and the sculpt of the overalls above the waist. NECA reuses parts all the time, especially in the ALIEN series. Even Paul Reiser's ALIENS figure has the same pants as Freddy Krueger and Evil Dead 2's Evil Ed.

I liked Part V, have NECA's 8" clothed version of Roy, and so I immediately snatched up this figure. My only gripe is the stomach wound, but I really like this figure overall. The face sculpt is terrific. The only NECA Jason I skipped thus far is the remake version. As a kid I thought Roy was possessed by Jason, but as an adult I find it interesting that he's playing off of the legend of Jason Voorhees in order to cover his crimes. Ultimately he becomes this twisted version of a Scooby Doo villain "Jinkies, it's Roy Burns, the paramedic!" Even if Roy's reasons for killing are not well defined (why not go after the guy that killed his son, instead of slaughtering all the innocent people?), much like many of the Fridays, it's just suspension of belief and pure popcorn fun.

Y’all relax, I just saw the movie & y’all are right. The movie kinda sucked tho, so don’t take advantage of me cause I forgot about the whole series. & remember, the more I think about Jason Voorhees, I does think about Jason X. Cause that’s the first Jason movie I’ve saw when I was kid, so relax😒.

The body is soft plastic because there is a ball joint abb-crunch. It is the same with HALLOWEEN 2018 Michael and most likely H2 Michael
