She reminds me of many artist, someone mentioned Janis Joplin, I can see that too, some Etta James, etc. Austin City Limits was my introduction to them. Reminds me of Jill Scott a bit in this song. As I was filliping thru the channels I caught this song right at that part I heard non of the music before that 2:20 mark, Once I heard those 4 chord changes I was hooked then blown away by how it ended. I was very much obsessed myself with that part of the song for months

Years back....I felt the BLACK KEYS opened this CAN...perhaps they did....but Brittany Howard pretty much said: fuck the limbo bar.....We'll blast it into the stratosphere!!!! AND...they DID.

This is when you pour it all out till you ain't got nuthing left, because it costs too much to keep it in. Every once of your soul is so filled with love that ain't nowhere else for it go.
