All Lana always wanted, was a man who would be honest with her. Whitney was a secret jerk that took life changing (and ending) decisions without consulting her Byron was a secret admirer but also a mutant from a science experiment Clark was a secret super hero from another galaxy Seth was a secret lover who was messing with her brain to make her love him Jason was a secret spy sent by her mother to steal some stones from her Adam was a secret zombie sent by Lionel Luthor to spy on Clark Lex was a secret super criminal who manipulated her like a puppet Even her father was her mother's secret lover who wasn't man enough to choose his daughter over his selfish wife...
@ TheNyxmaster I agree with all your points however I would just like to point out that Lana’s continued pestering to get Clark to open up was one of the many reasons why he never did. She should have given him space and allowed him to “open up,” on his own terms. Men don’t share with in their hearts. It’s been that way since time began. TBH Lana has never really known what she’s wanted. She’s up, she’s down, she’s sideways, she leaves, comes back, I’m like girl make up your damn mind hell! ❤️❤️😂😂
@@clairemendoza8082 nice comment. But I think that you are still too hash on Lana. She gave Clark 8 years to open up... yes she was up and down, because she loved only one "man", but he was never really commited until she knew her real identity, she tryed to leave him be, but HE kept coming back to her and as she loved him, she couldn't be fully in love with anyone else... only destiny asked her to sacrifice her love for Clark to save many lives, as Clack would have done and tought her. Even then, it's clear that she loved him way after that. And if I may add something : Clark is not a man... he's Superman and so, super complicated for a young woman
@@TheNyxmaster Yeah I do see your point. Rewatching the show now for the first time in a decade and I'm loving it. I liked Lana and Lois but my favorite character besides Clark was always Chloe. I feel she's a bit ignored in the fandom. I know she had her irritating moments in 1-3 but she really became a huge confidant for Clark after she discovered his secret thanks to Alicia. I sympathize with Chloe because it must be so hard to love someone so much and they don't return that love the way you want them to. The writer's biggest error in this show I think was dragging out the Clana drama and then she marries Lex. UGH! They had amazing moments for sure. When I was watching the show on the air I always pictured Lana dying young like her parents. I don't like seeing characters die but maybe Clark would have accepted his Kryptonian heritage a lot sooner had that happened. I always pictured Lex killing Lana. Just a thought.
Wow, I did have a vague memory of Lana being involved with lots of guys in the show but seeing them all listed like that... But really her problem was that she made how she felt dependent on others. That's why she always had all those guys around her, why she flirted with Clark while being with Whitney, why she checked out of her future FIL's election victory party and left freshly fiancéed Clark to run to Lex... She liked being desired and the centre of attention.
@@floodgates182 Yeah, the list is impressive... And I forgot the one student who could split himself in 2 persons. One day we should make one with Clark's women, I guess we will be in for a choc ! I agree with you that Lana loves male attention. But it wasn't entirely her fault. She's supposed to be that gorgeous girl every men want, so naturally a lot of them were gravitating in her orbit. And like a good princesse with daddy issues, she wanted a pure, honest and complete connexion to someone. But when you are the object of desire, it's easy for men to be in their own selfish interests and dismiss your real needs. Furthermore, It' would not be fair not to say that she always has been in love with Clark (in Smallville like in the comics), but didn't realized it before her late teen years. And when she was with Whitney, she was young and Clark was doing everything to be her "good friend", she's not the only one to blame there...
When she mentioned Clark you could see the affection and love in her eyes. She still loves him. Always have and always will no matter what. But a few episodes earlier she tells Adam whatever that was between her and Clark is gone. Clearly not judging by this scene.
@@grannysmith7218 Thank Gosh! It's a relief to hear that. Please try to upload Smallville clips whenever you get time and stay healthy!!!! And thanks a lot for giving so many trips down the memory lane. You are awesome!!!
Missed opportunity to cast Ian as a seasoned Dick Grayson on Titans. I don't like Brenton's portayal he has no charisma unlike Ian and what he could of brought to the role. Just like I prefer Justin Hartley as Oliver Queen/GA over Steve Amell. Steve's a cool guy in person just wasn't a fan of his interpretation.
Had the embargo not happened we would have been able to say that Lana just like Lois has dated both Superman and Batman. It's just that because of the Embargo and Nolan being insistent on no other live action Bats or even Bruce Waynes flying around...the Smallville people couldn't even make a workaround like they did with "The Blur" and a similar, but slightly more successful attempt at "Warrior Angel" when they tried to see if Diana Prince would pay a visit to Smallville...but yet again...embargos. That said...they really could have probably done the stealth puns for Batman without doing Batman...I mean Bruce has plenty of aliases to use...you can fill the Batcave with them. I mean Adam Knight was clearly intended to be and then you've got Matthew "Matches" Malone, Flying Fox, Executioner, Any of the Bat- monikers can be used as aliases such as "Dark Knight", "Detective", "Dark Detective", "The Knight". Too bad they couldn't have done that and they could have easily had Tom's Clark discover and confront "Adam" about really being (censored name) since we all know how Bruce doesn't like being outed.
