  • The price tag for PA school education can be a bit shocking, and one of the most frequently asked questions we get is about how do people actually pay for PA school? Hanna attended a private program, while Savanna went to a public program and we're discussing the differences and how we got the money to pay for school. Spoiler alert - We talk about loans a lot!

    As a first gen mid class student, your video really gave me a peace of mind. Seeing big numbers sometimes cloud the fact that this in fact an investment and i will have the means to pay back what i borrowed. I get scared at having to not work for 2 years but God your video really helped me not be so afraid of just "Trusting the Process". Thank you so much ❤️

    Great stuff! Finances are the taboo subject that everyone knows they need to learn about, but nobody actually wants to. They're scary! Thanks for making a video like this, I have one on my channel as well. Great content.

    I was looking at these small grants and most of them require that you have a 3.0 and above. I don't have a high GPA so those grants don't really apply to me. But, how many grants can someone apply when these are only offering $1000? what dent is that going to do with a $80-170K fee?

    Love your video! I have a quick question though. If I have a few thousand dollars in debt from my undergrad, is it that bad when I add it to my PA school laons if I get in this cycle?

      You would need to double check with your lender, but usually they go into deferment so you aren't required to continue making payments while in grad school.

    Hi! I had a question about filling out FAFSA. When exactly did you fill it out? Did you wait until you were accepted? Thanks!

      Hey Sami, you don’t have to wait till you’re accepted. When I applied to Fafsa I listed all the schools that I was interviewing for or hopeful to get into. When you’re accepted to a program fafsa will move forward with that program.

    Hi, what do u think if my program cost is 109 000 and I do not have anybody to help, will they give me extra money loan for living expenses?

    • @ThePAPlatform
      @ThePAPlatform  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Your school's cost estimate will ensure you are able to apply for enough loans to cover, and then you can always get private loans too

      Thanks. Private loans , I do not know because I my credit score is low. Also I’m by myself in US , so would be able to get any guarantors.

    I don't understand how you accrued $34K in interest over 27 months. This almost makes me want to not go to PA school at all since my program is $110K just for tuition.

    • @ThePAPlatform
      @ThePAPlatform  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The interest is rough. My rate was around 6.5% and it's cumulative, so you end up getting interest on your interest unfortunately. Then, while paying them back, you're still getting interest and paying it back. While not encouraging, a lot of people end up with a lot more to owe back and it's doable to pay it back with a good plan.

    Wow your program is on the low side.

    How many yrs they required to pay your loan

    • @ThePAPlatform
      @ThePAPlatform  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It depends on the lender! Mine had the option of up to 30 years, but I chose to pay them off much sooner.
