If you would, I would love to see a video on how you interpret cards meanings because you get such a contemporary/modern meaning from them that is so relevant. @@iWANDER262 my bad about the lyric, but as you can tell by my PFP and name I am an avid Mac Miller fan and in none of his songs does he mention Gucci Tennis Shoes or Cardio. He has multiple songs, Brand Name or Polo Jeans where he mentions some designers but these are critiques and neither mention Gucci. The only time Mac says Gucci is in reference to Gucci Mane, “You spent your whole advanced on two chains and a Gucci verse?!” That’s on his track Here We Go.
It seems like there’s debate on who the song is about, I originally thought it was confirmed him because of the rap genius explanation. The only reason I don’t associate it with Mac is because I don’t really feel like Ari invented Mac, Mac had a long standing career and fanbase before her (ofc so did she) but they were both pretty established when getting together and both were extremely career focused. Pete however, I only know about him bc of Ari, I never watched SNL and no offense I don’t think Pete would’ve ever really had a name without her. Mac made his mark and established a legacy through his music.
Anyways, she’s said the song is about falling in love with the idea of a person and I think that can be applied to both relationships.
As for the reading, this song popped into my head when he called Pete a clout chaser n I think it kinda fits that’s narrative so I thought I’d share.

It all happened so quickly, she was literally ENGAGED to Pete like yes it was a couple months 😅 we were all a little concerned. But that’s not a valid reason as to why the song cannot be about him.

I'm not sure that Pete is completely a clout chaser but he definitely doesn't seem to mind it so I'm not really surprised that Ariana has so many negative thoughts about that time in her life.
