My kids laugh because I keep a collection of DD cups here on the shelf for letting my flies dry (great tip I've been using for a long time). Thanks for the videos Tim. I always enjoy them!

"Nothing new here" There was for me. I like the feather for spreading the glue. I'll be using one for the rest of my life now. Great vid as usual.

How much glue do you get with the bondic? How many small trout flies like this can you tie?

I just loved seeing that he used the Bondic with the built in UV light!! I found it about a year ago when I was working in a hardware store. It comes in a nice little tin that has the light with one tube (it just slips on the end of the light) attached to it, and a refill tube. I've used it a ton in the last year, tied a lot of flies, and I'm still on the first the first tube and the batteries in the light are still working, haven't even cracked the refill. I have however checked and you can get the refills on Amazon.

im sure it fishes just fine, but looking at naturals the body has almost no bulk or taper, and i can't help but think that in most situations using the thread more to colour the shank of the hook and build up only the slightest taper would minimally affect sinking and greatly improve realism. but that's just me, if this works for you, then more power to you, and dont let some bozo on the internet like me ruin it for you.

in my experience, the perdigon versions outshine the traditional thread wrapped version. Maybe it's coincidental, but they just seem to catch more fish.

@@DyslexicTurtle I'm not saying don't tie it heavy and jiggy, it's just my personal preference to skip the lead free wire and try to stay slim.
