I use my sketchbook a lot like this (and many other yt sketchbook tours were making me feel insecure about it lol) but truly i think a sketchbook should be for you & for practice, so it is v cool and affirming to see quick sketches from someone so talented :'))
I feel this. I was also feeling some kind of way about my sketches and Waffles makes me feel a lot better about my drawing. That being said, my sketchbook tends to be a combination of just sketches and doodles and also if I really REALLY like the sketch, I make it a bad habit to "finish" it lol.
Drawing Wiff Waffles’s sketchbook videos convinced me to get the Illo sketchbook. I got back into drawing around 3 months ago and I am almost done with the sketchbook! Thankyou Drawing Wiff Waffles for helping me get back into art :D
RitzPlaysRoblox I definitely recommend! It’s multi media so you can do multiple mediums, so far I’ve done ink, watercolor, posca, and alcohol markers. The only one that has bled through is the alcohol markers. It’s very nice quality paper and very nice to draw on. I have the 10 by 10 so it’s the size of my face so I have loads of room. But I would suggest getting the 8 by 8 since it’s smaller. I also put stickers and posca pen on my cover of sketchbook and so far the posca nor the stickers have peeled off.
Her sketchbook look so cute and clean. Am I the only one who struggles with originality? I end up copying another artist face or outfit and I always feel guilty.
Try redesigning characters! A lot of people are redesigning Monster High characters lately ❤️ you don’t have to worry about being completely original but you also don’t have to spend hours thinking of what to draw!
Man, I always love these kinds of vids. Knowing that a sketchbook is there to scribble and not be perfect with it. Also my most favorite thing to draw is expressions. I always default back to that when I have no idea what to draw.
Nothing like a nice stroll down memory lane with a few new sketches along the way :) Anyone else get a sudden urge to watch all the sketchbook tour videos again even tho you've already seen them all?? 😁
Watching your videos really inspires me to go back to my art. I love watching the Sketchbook tours and have watched every one. Also recently my favorite thing to draw is flowers and plants.

Amanda Harris I regularly glue stuff I drew on *whatever was lying around * into my sketchbook so I don’t lose it, maybe that would be an idea for you, too. :)
@@Thirikalee that could be a good idea. I've been mulling it over in my head since you posted because I was worried about losing sketchbook space by gluing something onto a page. My sketchbook is extremely different from Rins as almost everything in my sketchbooks are completed works with no thumbnails or sketching left behind since I like the cleaner look. However, a lot of my drawings are done in alcohol markers which ghost through the page and since I like complete clean artwork in my sketchbook I dont draw on the backs of pages. I could totally glue my loose artwork to the backside of the pages! Then i will have a fuller looking sketchbook without compromising any cleanliness. What sort of glue do you use? I'd like to avoid things that will make the pages buckle (such as the more wet glues like Elmer's).
Amanda Harris Sounds like a good plan! Maybe lay it out on a page spread first to see if you like the look. I use mostly a simple glue stick (no particular brand) or sometimes washitape. But if you don’t like washi tape but don’t want to commit to glueing something down immediately, I’d recommend a special kind of glue stick. The one I use is from Scotch, they make one that glues stuff down but you can still remove it again from where it’s put. Everybody’s sketchbook is different and I think that’s beautiful. i know a lot of artists who sell prints of their lineart, even some who sell prints of their more refined pencil work, so i think you could totally find a place where you can do what you love and also have it bring it some extra income. i believe in you rin ♡
I'm not gonna lie, I rewatched the part of the sketchbook tipping and slamming the table at least a thousand times. Why is that so funny to me? I don't know.
I find myself drawing a lot of mythical creatures lately, especially human/animal hybrids, like mermaids, centaur subspecies, and just plain animals with a twist, like a spinosaurus with crystals coming out of it instead of a sail/fin/bone arch
Cool ......
Why does this comment have no replies?
I need some fun here
Oh, I love the spinosaurus idea. Maybe you’d like drawing fakemons? They are fun to design.
@@mslightbulb Thanks! I think I've posted that pic on my Instagram (its MechanicalManticore). And I've heard of fakemons, just haven't tried doing anything like that on purpose. Closest I've gotten was this pic I drew of a mashup of a crocodile, a golden finch, and a weasel, lol
Now excited for the next vid which is gonna be
"STARTING A NEW SKETCHBOOK"
love those too❤️
My favorite things to draw in my sketch book are portraits or floating heads. I also really enjoy sketching in ball-point pen after watching your FASIMS videos. Helped me a lot with my art style and finding what works for me.
Literally one of the most exciting sketchbooks I’ve seen in my entire life.
Waffles: *posts while I'm doing online class*
Me, watching it during class: a small price to pay for waffles
woah, you play a dangerous game XP
@@drawingwiffwaffles not to brag or anything but... my phone doesn't have a case, so um *i live a dangerous life*

Same but I read comics
that happens so much to me, I never got caught tho XP
I finished my 7th one today! And congratulations Waffles!
Congrats!!! :D
Thanks, Hinata!
Np!!
Love, love, love it! You inspire me to sketch. I usually just do “Loose” watercolor pieces so when they turn out like crap and you can’t tell what they are supposed to be I can just remind myself that they are “Loose”. LOL
I remember watching the making of the cover during online school, now, going to school, seeing the finish product! 😊
Thank you for sharing your art! Thank you for being awesome!!
I was watching this with my cat and she just sat there and watched this and it was just so cute because she was so interested in it. I love your drawings Rin (and I think my cat does too) Hope you have a great day and stay safe! Also I love the thumbnail!
Awww that's adorable
Thanks! Yeah sometimes cats do the most adorable things.
IT'S THE RETURN OF BLOBFISH, I LOVE HIM PLEASE DRAW HIM MOAR.
I need it.
Can I just say how good she has gotten at realism
Does anybody else watch her vids over and over and over and over again, until you practically drool because you continue to discover how amazing and adorable her drawings are? 😱😱💜💜
Love you Waffles! -Allison😋
I have been enjoying making watercolor flowers in my sketchbook lately. Thanks Rin for the tour! It was fun to look back at all of those and recognize the ones you made videos of.
My anxiety whenever she dragged her fingers across the pages, I was so scared it would smudge the graphite!!
Lol I don't think that would rlly happen... Would it?
Ikr?? It s c a r e s me
@@leahpickering1528 it definitely is a possibility
Rin: "a cheetah???"
*zooms in on sketch of a hyena*
*dont question the artist*
Me:
Ummmmmmm...... Sure, Rin. SURE.
i hAD NO IDEA YOU PLAYED D&D that's awesome !
It's impossible to watch one of these sketchbook videos and NOT get inspired. I love seeing your artistic thought process. So many brilliant ideas! You're a wonderful artist, waffles!!!
Please don´t be afraid to say you only want to draw for no other reason than drawing, because of course it´s completely up to somone to decide why they draw but I personally think there shouldn´t be any other reason in focus. It´s really beautiful to hear an artist say that.
2:16 cue cute gremlin voice 😆😂
