I have an doubt ...can we extend the depth of existing borewell by same process (drilling)?

I don't think it is possible. After water is found the pipes are inserted and thus if you want to extend the well then first you will have to extract out all the pipes, then insert the driller and after all that once you have successfully extended it insert the pipes again with a new underwater pump. This is a very time consuming and laborious task and drilling a new borewell is more cheaper than extending one further.

it's good to see a video on this topic, but some information needs to be clarified.... Water doesn't seep through bedrock as easily as it looks, it may take decades or even centuries. So, deep aquifer water is a non-renewable resource, and should be discouraged, even banned. Also, water beyond a few hundred feet have high chemical concentrations, and is unfit for consumption. It is always better to ensure water recharge in shallow wells above bedrock, and reuse that water, which is renewable from rainfall every year.
