I LOVE these tags! I was wondering how to make them because our grade had a fireplace theme and we needed to make a stocking for the teacher. I saw these all over Etsy and didn’t know how to make them but wanted to do them because she will get married in two years and I wanted her to be able to change her last name 😀. I’m so glad you are all better. Where are your stockings from?
I sealed my wood with polycrylic and waited 24 hours to apply my holographic permanent vinyl. It seems that parts of the vinyl either have air trapped or just isn't sticking. The edges seem stuck. When I put it on the wood, it was all flat but started looking puffy after about 5 or 10 minutes. I kept trying to push it down and laid heavy books on it. Still was looking puffy but the edges were stuck down. I tried to apply heat thinking that would help but it didn't. I then applied polycrylic over the top which helped a little. Do you have any idea why the holographic permanent vinyl would do this? I've done permanent vinyl (not holographic) and it stuck down fine onto the polycrylic so is there something about the holographic that is causing the problem and do you know if there's anything that could solve the problem at this point?

Very nice!! I’ve never used stain, so thank you for mentioning the oily surface issue when using vinyl.

So cute! I only buy & use water-based stains and don't seal & have never had an issue with vinyl lifting!

Have you ever tried regular masking tape to do your transfers? It's amazing lol
I have actually! I just always forget to use it! It does release the vinyl really easy which is awesome!
