You can actually apply online on the Synchrony website. Just google Harbor Freight Synchrony and it's the URL that has syf in it. Dunno why they say you can't.
Warning with HF credit card. If you set up auto pay, make sure you find the obscure box to check, otherwise it will not go into effect. I thought i had it taken care of payment with auto pay. Now I am alerted that I am late. I got full interest and penalty of $60. I paid in full that same day and they refused to reverse any charges. I only opened the account to get the 10 % off on a welder that I ended up returning, never opened, with a $160 restocking fee. so now I am out a total of $220 for a huge aggravation. cant wait to be free from this card. Otherwise I like HF and go there a lot. I am just sticking to my Visa card from now on.
Also of note is that all of HF coupons stack with this card. Alot of items at HF have great coupons that pop up that would combo nice with card. Another video showed using the stated coupon for a mechanic's cabinet (Snap-on knockoff) + 10% off from 1st purchase to save 300-1000 on that cabinet. If you regularly buy larger items it'd be worth it. With my purchases, it's rarely over 50 bucks a pop so not really worth my time.

But you only get $5 which is only 1% of the $500 you spent. Why are you confusing the people, just like the credit card. Shame on you

I would not get a HarborFreight credit card. Now I love HarborFreight but there no customers service when trying to make payments or do anything. But they will run your credit whenever they feel like it also. They ran my credit every other month

I miss a payment date by 10 days. They re Ran my credit and cut my limit in half. I paid 700 in one purchase. Pay it off 2 months. 2nd purchase 500. Made a payment before bill was due another payment 10 days after and less then a week laster
Harbor freight is a tool store. I buy a lot from there but would only apply if I was making a large one time purchase so I could apply the additional 10% off the Entire purchase. I don't see anything beneficial other than this. REALLY THIS IS FOR THERE EXPENSIVE TOOLBOXES. You need to remember to look at the purchase and divide that in 12mth not a minimum payment. You will get screwed. A lot of credit cards are offering 0%. Be careful, it's like buying off the tool trucks.
I think this might be a great card for folks with low or no credit. They do have pretty good deal on batteries and some other small items. Thanks for the review!
I like Harbor Freight but like most people, I only go there for cheap items. I would never buy an expensive tool or item from them. That makes this card a non-starter for most people.
I received the email from Harbor Freight telling me about their new killer shark. I like Harbor Freight, I think they have nice cheap tools. But, no thanks. I only go there twice every two years.
Canceling cards negatively affects your credit score (lowers it). Leave it open so it increases your available credit, but don't use it so your utilization stays low and boosts your score in the long-run. Since it has no fees or the like, it's not a problem keeping it open. Personally I might get it since I like to get my gloves, towels, and other little odds-and-ends at HF. We'll see.

Not worth getting if you make large payments. They'll hold your payment for at least a week after it clears your bank which prevents you from using that card for the week.

You really shouldn't just don't use it after it's paid up canceling will lower your credit score
