I wish someone could show me a preferred way of doing zen cancel on leverless. This is the sickest thing I’ve ever seen and I know just being able to do any of these combos can have an effect on your opponents mental. Guess I’ll have to figure it out
i gotchu man. just swapped over to Leverless too, from pad. when doing Zen/Break cancels, depending on how far you want to travel during the Breaking Step/how quick you need to cancel, you hold down forward, and once you need to cancel, all you’re left to do is quickly press Up with your thumb, and Back with the ring finger, simultaneously. it’s not a hard press either, i find on leverless, that gentler inputs are generally better.
It becomes easier the more you play. Jin has tools and answers against clive. On a read + good reaction, parry shuts down a lot of his shite. Overall clive has a lot of annoying things going for him but Jin can deal with them effectively.
Hi brother, is it true that jin in tekken 7 was a hard protagonist to play and in tekken 8 he has been made into a beginner character because there were lot of exceutions take away from this character?
No. While the description you are giving is somewhat true , it's not 100% accurate. Beginner friendly to start and up to a very limited specific level would be a better way to describe. Unfortunately some big name streamers have successfully painted an incomplete picture around their personal opinions and it's astonishing for me to observe the current state of stupidity all over the internet. I do not engage with this weak gen of Tekken players but here are some key points for you to think and decide for yourself. I would not like to influence you so here are globally known facts which you can easily verify: 1: F4 pick up is easy: If you go back to first 4 years of Tekken 7, jin's f4 pick up was actually a joke. 100 times easier than this 1st year of T8, yet people just can't stop with the comparison. 2: Stance gives electric: Which is useless if you want to do actual whiff punish. Plus it's also one of the system-wide streamlines mechanic where they completely dumbed down otherwise "hard" characters like Kazuya, Hei etc... They all get the same dumb treatment but because their mains are not usually the apologists, no one talks much. 3: Jin had a micro-dash combo which they completely made irrelevant in last 2 seasons of T7 by adding zen 13. It did better damage and wall carry so their goes your "hard execution". 4: Uf2 was also a ch launcher in T7 which is beyond dumb by the modern standards. 5: DB 4 was a ch launcher in T7. 6: Down2 and Dive kick: I am saying this from the day 1 that these 2 moves belong to Devil Jin with all their properties. Remove them from Jin's tool kit. Having said that, if anyone still insist on repeating someone else's words, I can make a case for justifying these 2 moves as well with technical detail and comparisons. 7: The core execution is still same. EWHF is same input motion. Zen is actually harder and lost some mechanics because of the forced breaking step. 8: Tekken 8 has generally made the juggle system and timing much easier for whole game. It's beyond stupid to label all that on a single character. Conclusion: Jin was the #1 and still is in T8. He can always match and respond to your skill level. This has always been my straight opinion. That's about it.
@@nonstopkyo while I don't quite dislike tekken 8 Jin (I'm a Jin main too lmao), I'd still stand by my opinion that tekken 7 Jin is more satisfying to play. Not that I'm complaining about tekken 8 Jin or anything, but I loved the understanding and mastery required to play him as well as his pure Karate fighting style in tekken 7. I agree with your points, though.
@@nonstopkyo also I really like how you flow your gameplay in tekken 8 with the breaking step zen 1 2 cancel. Sometimes it feels like watching a stance character lol

@@dumithegreat3892my man. I was thinking that a gentler press on the buttons played a role. I’ll put it to the test. Good looking out fam
Dude, I love your creativity with these combos!
I highly appreciate it! Thank you!! 🙏
sick execution & thumbnails kyo!
THANK YOU!!! 👊 I been putting in work to make thumbnails. Glad you noticed 🤝
Zen cancel into heat🤯🔥
Cool combos 🔥
Thank you! ⚡👊
Hey Kyo, what're your thoughts on Clive's matchup as a Jin?
It becomes easier the more you play. Jin has tools and answers against clive. On a read + good reaction, parry shuts down a lot of his shite. Overall clive has a lot of annoying things going for him but Jin can deal with them effectively.

Yes, his gameplan and execution are both streamlined. He has an ewhf from stance now, and an all purpose low, for example.
Thanks man
