Despite its popularity I haven’t made it as I’m not too keen on frills, but on your version the frill is so subtle that it blends in nicely .

I think your Sagebrush top looks beautiful on you! However, if you don’t love it, don’t keep it in your wardrobe. (I heard that on a podcast recently, and I’m taking that to heart. ) You’ve made such amazing garments! I enjoy your videos very much. Thank you. 😘
Thank you very much 😊❤️ that’s great advice for the Sagebrush top, it can be so hard to let go of handmade garments but it’s so true that it’s only worth hanging onto the things you love to wear
That is such a pretty blouse and looks fab on you, it would be definitely worth loosening the elastic on the arm so you can wear it comfortably. Happy sewing.🙂

Cath, I love your version of the Sagebrush blouse! I am wide through the shoulders and conscious of how it looks there. Rayon is a great choice for this one. I have found that I like sleeves finished with a fabric cuff and NOT elastic. When I make that adjustment I am much happier with how the garment feels on me. Love all your videos!❤

That’s a good plan for making a fabric cuff instead of elastic, that’s a very pretty finish for a sleeve and no issue with elastic riding up, great idea! ❤️
I think the Shelby is my favorite dress pattern.😊

From your chat about your Sagebrush top, although we want to love and wear every piece of clothing we make for ourselves, I don’t know if that’s always realistic - it could be helpful to look through a lens of “if I saw this on the high street and tried it on, would I buy it?”. If the answer is no, then I think it’s ok to give it away for someone else to enjoy! X

Hi, Cath! I've been enjoying your series this May. I thought you lookedgreat in your Sagebrush Top. I love that pattern. I made a top, and then a dress hack of it. Like you, the elastic in the sleeves always bugs me in the exact way you described! I have the same issue with another top I've made with similar sleeves. I'm sure we were meant to have the elastic looser, so I'm going to make that switch. The neckline also bothers me personally. I think one day I'll take off the neck binding and lower the neckline a bit.
You look amazing in the Shelby dress. I think the neckline suits you very nicely!
I enjoyed seeing video of your walks, pics of your family, and hearing about your family's activities. I remember when your daughter chose that galaxy fabric. I don't think it's too bright at all, and you look lovely in it. I may be biased though, because I wear very colorful things, haha!

Your sagebrush looks lovely. I love the blouse and my recent one is in an art gallery rayon. I lengthened the sleeve and just didn’t put in the elastic and I loved it. So take some time to amend or remove the elective. St the very least, make it less tight.
