I absolutely love your home. I too live in a older double wide mobile/modular home that we are paying way too much for. BUT now that my husband is retired, we are hoping to be able to continue to personalize it and make it welcoming and a Haven for our family and friends. We talk about remodeling and dream ALOT. on a very fixed income and frugal budget we move forward and keep doing a little at a time and never stop dreaming. ❤️😊❤️
That is my heart exactly! To create a safe haven, a landing place for everyone we love. This house wasn’t livable when we bought it, so we did most the renovations prior to moving in, but! That hasn’t always been the case, we dreamed and worked slowly on many houses prior. Either having the time and no money, or money and no time to do the next project 😂 we have so much yet to do here and it just takes time. We’ve been getting to things slowly but surely. Trying to enjoy the process. Be encouraged, it doesn’t take tons of money but some creativity and resourcefulness to make a home you love.

But I sat the two we had there for a bit and when my husband walked by they rattled, and it drove him nuts 😝 mobile home/big guy problems. Ha! Look around your area, I always found a few here and there on local sale sights.

@@thecreatorinme7 Simply using a lot of sweat equity and refreshing your space with paint can make a huge difference in bringing a space up to date. It helps to invest in updating trim, lighting and flooring too. I think it is one step at a time, patience, and the desire to make it happens that goes a long way in making things work to where you are happy. I speak from my own trial and error efforts,( just like you I am sure). Really enjoyed your inspirational tour.
The medicine cabinet in your bathroom looks like the kitchen cupboard my nan had in the 1960s. You opened the pull down cupboard door to prepare your food on. Im from the UK so maybe this was something the british used back then x

Our home was uninhabitable, holes in the roof, ceilings and floors and busted out windows. So we did it all at once. 😓 I’m so sorry to hear your going through this journey of life alone. I have a beautiful friend who’s been widowed raising two upper elementary children for the last few years, and shes amazed and joyful when she shares a new accomplishment. Thank you! I tried balancing white with a little hint of modern black and the additions of wood, the chippy door adds a little charm to so much white also. I never thought I’d ration toilet paper squares but it got to that for a bit, we never ran out of anything through that crazy time, thank God. I love my black doors too, but black shows everything! It’s worse then white 😅
Love what you did!!! If you had it in your budget I would swap out the refrigerator/freezer with a 45" Subzero side by side wide. Lots of room and would make you kitchen looking like you were a chef.
You’re so right! Since this video we have upgraded those appliances and bought two French fridges. Might not look “chef’ish” lol… but it fills the space and we have SO much needed storage!! It’s beautiful. I really need to update, but life is 😜 🤯 thanks for watching and commenting!

That cabinet in your bathroom was a old fashion desk. We live in double wide but it looks smaller I wish I could have found open concept. Our home is paid for but we live in a park so we still pay rent. Your home is beautiful!
Is it really!? I had weird assumptions that it was a old drs type cabinet because of the metal vents holes/hardware in the bottom doors and the metal plate on the opening of the center. It’s just plain cool! Mobiles are all so different! Maybe you can bust through some walls and open things up at some point since your paid off… You’re doing it right by having your home paid for, lot rent and other small fees and expenses are basic costs to the life of park living. It is vinyl planks flooring. We got it from a wholesaler for around $2 a sq ft. It flows through the whole house seamlessly, no thresholds which makes it so easy to clean. Unfortunately some of the unevenness we couldn’t fix in the subfloor has caused the seams to separate in a few high traffic areas... 🥴 Floor and decor and big box stores have similar flooring, for $2.50 +\-

The wall color is Agreeable Grey by Sherman Williams. It is true to its name! I’ve put it in multiple houses and love it. Our house was bought uninhabitable, so we did our renovations all at once. But I encourage you, you can do it! Even if it’s room by room. We love our mobile home.
Love your utilization of space we are a family of 4, have a double wide with 4 bedrooms and always are feeling cramped. I love your cabinet with the pull out drawers do you have the info on that cabinet looking to add more kitchen organization
Thank you. If you’re feeling cramped it might be layout, square footage, etc… but just access what you have in your space and see if you can minimize it. I have scaled back so much over the 2 years of living here… it’s a process 😊 our cabinets were built by a cabinet maker. They were raw and unfinished and we finished them ourselves. I’m sure box stores have these type of drawer packs though. Thanks for your comment, and please be encouraged that you can make your home work for you! You can do it, I’ll be your cheerleader 📣 😂
Did you change out the refrigerators, I thought you had almost matching stainless fridges. I really do like the idea of a larger freezer, with a family as large as yours, it will come in handy.
Yes, we did, very observant of you. 😊This video was made before the kitchen video, we had saved up and bought the new fridges since this tour but don’t worry… We still have the freezer!

Thank you so much. I got that cabinet from Hobby Lobby for around $120. It has hanging hardware on the back so I believe it’s intended for wall decor 🤷🏽♀️ but, it’s perfect for narrow spaces!
It’s not always… sadly. I am a cleaning lady so I struggle coming home from clean houses to disaster. My house explodes every so often because we are just home long enough to make a mess…. Not keeping strict habits morning and night causes the explosions… having kids means clutter and things out at times, right? 😜
Thank you! We had a cabinet maker build them for us. It cost under 4K built and installed. Very affordable price and most our savings is because they’re installed raw wood, and my husband and I finished them ourselves 👍🏼 our cabinet guy is a gem! I plan to share more about that in the future

Thanks if you don't mind going out and subscribing to my cancer journey channel that I commented with. I'm going to order me six of those towels because I seem to just go through towels like a crazy person. I'm single I live alone but I stain everything cooking or I get nose bleeds which I'm pretty sure that probably wouldn't come out but I always have a kitchen towel in case I decide to eat something I can put it on my chest so that I don't spill stuff all over me. But yeah I'm in remission now as of very recently I'm actually going to the oncologist/ gynecologist today for checkup. Wish me luck! Anyway I want to do like you guys did except I can find a $1,000 trailer but it tastes like six grand to move it and I don't have land so I can't do anything I don't have a boyfriend because guys they don't look for bald-headed girls. By the way I'm from Alabama if you can understand me speaking into the phone sometimes slang comes through. I would be fine in a mobile home park we have really nice ones like that they keep up the grounds you're not allowed to smoke on the property you got to parking spaces you're not allowed to double park You have to get a permission for birthday parties because you'll have extra cars know all night parties just I mean I didn't even get through half the rules It is ridiculous but that keeps trash away if you know what I mean. They have 24-hour security which is a police officer that lives there and they do a security guard sleep on a golf cart like every 2 hours. It's well lit You can't have the trailer hitch showing it has to be detached and put up under the mobile home or it has to be covered with the skirting and you are welcome to plant flowers around it so that it's not an eye sore. I'm thinking I'm going to rent there cuz I've got to be out of my apartment on the 30th this month which is not going to happen but 16x8 0 three bedroom two bathroom total gut job and it's $800 a month and that includes them doing the yard work and 1500 gallons of water and then you get charged for the rest and I'm single so I don't know how much that is but right now I'm paying $150 more for two bedrooms and one bathroom and an apartment where I don't fit because I had a big house before my divorce. I'm having to pack with no help. It sucks but I can say I did it I did it myself. Now I've got a binge watch more of your videos because that's how I get ideas of everything and I love the open shelving and the shiplap and everything farmhouse. On my Facebook I make crafts because disability doesn't give you much of a life. Truthfully I haven't sold anything yet I get tons of messages but nobody ever comes through but I'm going to keep making it even if it's just me keeping it and giving it for Christmas presents lol Y'all did such a beautiful job on that trailer. We have a dome shelter at one of our local schools but if it isn’t open we have a friend with a cement poured tunnel built into a hillside connected to their huge house… lol. They are amazing and allow us to come by whenever! And just hang out. We plan to put a shelter in soon, along with bricking in our skirting and building a shop. So much to do, we have big plans 😉
I have fond memories of our single wide mobile home rental located in a beautifully landscaped mobile home park. It was our first home when we married in 1973. We both worked long hours and I was finishing college, so we didn’t get to spend much time there. But when we did, it was our cozy little refuge. I love your catchphrase “Trailer Classy.” Just a thought, but I’d love to see a cookbook by that name! You could include your kitchen storage & organization pics along with the recipes, as well as pics of you or the kids making the dish with a beautiful full color photo of each finished dish before it’s devoured. Hobby Lobby! 😂 it’s just legged troff thingy… got if for like $60? I clear siliconed all the seams and no leaks. Unfortunately it doesn’t slope well to the drain because it’s not intended to be a sink but… a little rust has formed which adds a little charm, but I planned to pour epoxy in the bottom to help create a slope for the water to drain, but haven’t… it’s been a few years and she’s holding up fine… but maybe one day 😉
So it’s authentic shiplap, that is around 5 1/4” width, but when overlapped the face of the shiplap is around 4 3/4” with about a 1/8” gap. Yes it’s like a tongue and groove. It’s cut kind of like a Z, so they overlap resting on one another. I don’t remember what length we purchased, we got a bulk pallet for cheap well before inflation… I believe they were 12’ or 16’… I’ve done faux shiplap with underlayment sheets and prefer 6-8” width, and I use a paint stick for spacing. I want shiplap in my kitchen and trying to figure out a cheaper alternative my local lumber store has 1x6 16ft tongue and groove boards for 17.98 a board that is just out of my budget so before I purchase that Just checking around for cheaper alternative which is hard to find here in south Louisiana!!! Oh and if you would be interested in selling your ikea lamp shade the one that’s like chicken wire over the table I’m in the market for it and plus I will pay shipping ikea just can’t ship me one I’ll have to purchase 15 of them for them to ship to me and I don’t have a local ikea anywhere near me lol!!!

We wanted to shiplap the children bathroom in their hallway that needs remodeled but with wood prices so high we don’t want to spend that kind of $$… if you watch my bathroom remodel video, (th-cam.com/video/tQrZx4NKj7M/w-d-xo.html) its not a full tutorial but it shows how we used underlayment sheets and lots of caulking and putty to make faux shiplap look amazing 🤩 now if you live in a mobile like us, you’ll have to finish your paneling/drywall seams before doing this technique but SO much cheaper. I hate that you can’t order from IKEA, I’ve been dealing with that too… and the nearest for me is around 5 hours away. But for now I’m holding onto both shades until I make a decision on how I’m wanting to design my dining. I’ve been scheming to add some ikea hemnes shoe cabinets against the wall to make like a thin buffet look because we have so little space… then either top that with two large prints or a mix of baskets… depending on which way I go, I will either want my basket pendent or the black metal… all in due time I guess, nothing in our own home seems to be a priority like remodeling for others to make our income, lol… 😑

No worries my friend, our loved ol’ girl passed away last month… she didn’t mind the size of her crate and promise she could turn around just fine and was hardly locked in there. She preferred it to find refuge in from the children in her old age… she was a blessing, and we miss her very much. We have a new four legged friend we got a month before she passed that is an Auggie we named Olive, who now got Jessi’s crate handed down and it’s huge for her 😊 dogs are a little extra blessing from God, such sweet companions.

I absolutely love your home. I too live in a older double wide mobile/modular home that we are paying way too much for. BUT now that my husband is retired, we are hoping to be able to continue to personalize it and make it welcoming and a Haven for our family and friends. We talk about remodeling and dream ALOT. on a very fixed income and frugal budget we move forward and keep doing a little at a time and never stop dreaming. ❤️😊❤️
That is my heart exactly! To create a safe haven, a landing place for everyone we love. This house wasn’t livable when we bought it, so we did most the renovations prior to moving in, but! That hasn’t always been the case, we dreamed and worked slowly on many houses prior. Either having the time and no money, or money and no time to do the next project 😂 we have so much yet to do here and it just takes time. We’ve been getting to things slowly but surely. Trying to enjoy the process. Be encouraged, it doesn’t take tons of money but some creativity and resourcefulness to make a home you love.

But I sat the two we had there for a bit and when my husband walked by they rattled, and it drove him nuts 😝 mobile home/big guy problems. Ha! Look around your area, I always found a few here and there on local sale sights.
Your tour gives new meaning of just what a mobile home can be. It is larger than some wood frame homes. Great job in making it the way you want it.

@@thecreatorinme7 Simply using a lot of sweat equity and refreshing your space with paint can make a huge difference in bringing a space up to date. It helps to invest in updating trim, lighting and flooring too. I think it is one step at a time, patience, and the desire to make it happens that goes a long way in making things work to where you are happy. I speak from my own trial and error efforts,( just like you I am sure). Really enjoyed your inspirational tour.

The medicine cabinet in your bathroom looks like the kitchen cupboard my nan had in the 1960s. You opened the pull down cupboard door to prepare your food on. Im from the UK so maybe this was something the british used back then x

Thank you! I tried balancing white with a little hint of modern black and the additions of wood, the chippy door adds a little charm to so much white also. I never thought I’d ration toilet paper squares but it got to that for a bit, we never ran out of anything through that crazy time, thank God. I love my black doors too, but black shows everything! It’s worse then white 😅
Love what you did!!! If you had it in your budget I would swap out the refrigerator/freezer with a 45" Subzero side by side wide. Lots of room and would make you kitchen looking like you were a chef.
You’re so right! Since this video we have upgraded those appliances and bought two French fridges. Might not look “chef’ish” lol… but it fills the space and we have SO much needed storage!! It’s beautiful. I really need to update, but life is 😜 🤯 thanks for watching and commenting!

That cabinet in your bathroom was a old fashion desk. We live in double wide but it looks smaller I wish I could have found open concept. Our home is paid for but we live in a park so we still pay rent. Your home is beautiful!
Is it really!? I had weird assumptions that it was a old drs type cabinet because of the metal vents holes/hardware in the bottom doors and the metal plate on the opening of the center. It’s just plain cool! Mobiles are all so different! Maybe you can bust through some walls and open things up at some point since your paid off… You’re doing it right by having your home paid for, lot rent and other small fees and expenses are basic costs to the life of park living. Very wise of you! Thank you for your engagement. ❤️

It is vinyl planks flooring. We got it from a wholesaler for around $2 a sq ft. It flows through the whole house seamlessly, no thresholds which makes it so easy to clean. Unfortunately some of the unevenness we couldn’t fix in the subfloor has caused the seams to separate in a few high traffic areas... 🥴
Floor and decor and big box stores have similar flooring, for $2.50 +\-

The wall color is Agreeable Grey by Sherman Williams. It is true to its name! I’ve put it in multiple houses and love it.
Our house was bought uninhabitable, so we did our renovations all at once. But I encourage you, you can do it! Even if it’s room by room. We love our mobile home.

Thank you. If you’re feeling cramped it might be layout, square footage, etc… but just access what you have in your space and see if you can minimize it. I have scaled back so much over the 2 years of living here… it’s a process 😊 our cabinets were built by a cabinet maker. They were raw and unfinished and we finished them ourselves. I’m sure box stores have these type of drawer packs though. Thanks for your comment, and please be encouraged that you can make your home work for you! You can do it, I’ll be your cheerleader 📣 😂
Did you change out the refrigerators, I thought you had almost matching stainless fridges. I really do like the idea of a larger freezer, with a family as large as yours, it will come in handy.

It’s not always… sadly. I am a cleaning lady so I struggle coming home from clean houses to disaster. My house explodes every so often because we are just home long enough to make a mess…. Not keeping strict habits morning and night causes the explosions… having kids means clutter and things out at times, right? 😜

Thank you! We had a cabinet maker build them for us. It cost under 4K built and installed. Very affordable price and most our savings is because they’re installed raw wood, and my husband and I finished them ourselves 👍🏼 our cabinet guy is a gem! I plan to share more about that in the future

Thanks if you don't mind going out and subscribing to my cancer journey channel that I commented with. I'm going to order me six of those towels because I seem to just go through towels like a crazy person. I'm single I live alone but I stain everything cooking or I get nose bleeds which I'm pretty sure that probably wouldn't come out but I always have a kitchen towel in case I decide to eat something I can put it on my chest so that I don't spill stuff all over me. But yeah I'm in remission now as of very recently I'm actually going to the oncologist/ gynecologist today for checkup. Wish me luck! Anyway I want to do like you guys did except I can find a $1,000 trailer but it tastes like six grand to move it and I don't have land so I can't do anything I don't have a boyfriend because guys they don't look for bald-headed girls. By the way I'm from Alabama if you can understand me speaking into the phone sometimes slang comes through. I would be fine in a mobile home park we have really nice ones like that they keep up the grounds you're not allowed to smoke on the property you got to parking spaces you're not allowed to double park You have to get a permission for birthday parties because you'll have extra cars know all night parties just I mean I didn't even get through half the rules It is ridiculous but that keeps trash away if you know what I mean. They have 24-hour security which is a police officer that lives there and they do a security guard sleep on a golf cart like every 2 hours. It's well lit You can't have the trailer hitch showing it has to be detached and put up under the mobile home or it has to be covered with the skirting and you are welcome to plant flowers around it so that it's not an eye sore. I'm thinking I'm going to rent there cuz I've got to be out of my apartment on the 30th this month which is not going to happen but 16x8 0 three bedroom two bathroom total gut job and it's $800 a month and that includes them doing the yard work and 1500 gallons of water and then you get charged for the rest and I'm single so I don't know how much that is but right now I'm paying $150 more for two bedrooms and one bathroom and an apartment where I don't fit because I had a big house before my divorce. I'm having to pack with no help. It sucks but I can say I did it I did it myself. Now I've got a binge watch more of your videos because that's how I get ideas of everything and I love the open shelving and the shiplap and everything farmhouse. On my Facebook I make crafts because disability doesn't give you much of a life. Truthfully I haven't sold anything yet I get tons of messages but nobody ever comes through but I'm going to keep making it even if it's just me keeping it and giving it for Christmas presents lol Y'all did such a beautiful job on that trailer. Oh my goodness! So funny you ask. We have a dome shelter at one of our local schools but if it isn’t open we have a friend with a cement poured tunnel built into a hillside connected to their huge house… lol. They are amazing and allow us to come by whenever! And just hang out. We plan to put a shelter in soon, along with bricking in our skirting and building a shop. So much to do, we have big plans 😉
I have fond memories of our single wide mobile home rental located in a beautifully landscaped mobile home park. It was our first home when we married in 1973. We both worked long hours and I was finishing college, so we didn’t get to spend much time there. But when we did, it was our cozy little refuge. I love your catchphrase “Trailer Classy.” Just a thought, but I’d love to see a cookbook by that name! You could include your kitchen storage & organization pics along with the recipes, as well as pics of you or the kids making the dish with a beautiful full color photo of each finished dish before it’s devoured. Unfortunately it doesn’t slope well to the drain because it’s not intended to be a sink but… a little rust has formed which adds a little charm, but I planned to pour epoxy in the bottom to help create a slope for the water to drain, but haven’t… it’s been a few years and she’s holding up fine… but maybe one day 😉

We bought it off Facebook marketplace! Purchase price was 10k and 6k to move. It wasn’t livable but had such great bones!
May I ask you, is your shiplap 1x6 in 16ft? If not what is the size shiplap in kitchen and is it tongue and groove?
So it’s authentic shiplap, that is around 5 1/4” width, but when overlapped the face of the shiplap is around 4 3/4” with about a 1/8” gap. Yes it’s like a tongue and groove. It’s cut kind of like a Z, so they overlap resting on one another. I don’t remember what length we purchased, we got a bulk pallet for cheap well before inflation… I believe they were 12’ or 16’… I’ve done faux shiplap with underlayment sheets and prefer 6-8” width, and I use a paint stick for spacing. Your home is absolutely stunning!!!! I want shiplap in my kitchen and trying to figure out a cheaper alternative my local lumber store has 1x6 16ft tongue and groove boards for 17.98 a board that is just out of my budget so before I purchase that Just checking around for cheaper alternative which is hard to find here in south Louisiana!!! I just love your videos!!!
Oh and if you would be interested in selling your ikea lamp shade the one that’s like chicken wire over the table I’m in the market for it and plus I will pay shipping ikea just can’t ship me one I’ll have to purchase 15 of them for them to ship to me and I don’t have a local ikea anywhere near me lol!!!

We wanted to shiplap the children bathroom in their hallway that needs remodeled but with wood prices so high we don’t want to spend that kind of $$… if you watch my bathroom remodel video, (th-cam.com/video/tQrZx4NKj7M/w-d-xo.html) its not a full tutorial but it shows how we used underlayment sheets and lots of caulking and putty to make faux shiplap look amazing 🤩 now if you live in a mobile like us, you’ll have to finish your paneling/drywall seams before doing this technique but SO much cheaper.
I hate that you can’t order from IKEA, I’ve been dealing with that too… and the nearest for me is around 5 hours away. But for now I’m holding onto both shades until I make a decision on how I’m wanting to design my dining. I’ve been scheming to add some ikea hemnes shoe cabinets against the wall to make like a thin buffet look because we have so little space… then either top that with two large prints or a mix of baskets… depending on which way I go, I will either want my basket pendent or the black metal… all in due time I guess, nothing in our own home seems to be a priority like remodeling for others to make our income, lol… 😑

new here .love your home it looks amazing. but with all friendliness and kindness,please get a dog crate the next size up for your lovely dog. the one you have is to small .even just putting him there for an hour is not good. the crate is to small .he needs to be able to stand completely tall head up and be able to turn around in the crate withoit his head or butt touching crate ,and to stretch out from his head to his butt at least or tail ..thank you sorry .just an animal lover here .god bless .
No worries my friend, our loved ol’ girl passed away last month… she didn’t mind the size of her crate and promise she could turn around just fine and was hardly locked in there. She preferred it to find refuge in from the children in her old age… she was a blessing, and we miss her very much. We have a new four legged friend we got a month before she passed that is an Auggie we named Olive, who now got Jessi’s crate handed down and it’s huge for her 😊 dogs are a little extra blessing from God, such sweet companions.
