i saw the opening tour show in Kalamazoo 3 weeks ago, it was epic. ive been going to concerts since 1976 and Ive seen all. these guys are the real deal, rock and roll is not dead
Their newest album really shows how far they’ve developed and brought their own unique sounds while still showing ties to bands of the past, was in a trance the first listen through of this album the week it dropped
I love the live vocals even when he doesn't quite get to it (compared to the recorded version) because the differences are unique themselves. He plays them off very well usually.

Three other favorites of mine are " Broken Bells", Light my Love", and Tears of Rain". They all have just as much if not more vocal power from Josh as this one. Lives are definitely way better than the recordings, may I suggest reacting to the "Candlelight session" versions of these songs? The theatricality is upped about 10000 percent and the quality of the music is very crisp. You just earned a sub in me😄👍🏻

Some songs that I think really showcase Josh's vocals and Jake's guitar playing are "Lover Leaver Taker Believer" (not the one titled just "Lover Leaver"), "Edge Of Darkness", and "The Weight Of Dreams". Jake is an insane guitar player. They say there are no more guitar gods but Jake is one in the making. Plus, they have a concert movie Live From Red Rocks that is amazing.
The Red Rocks concert was extraordinary right up until the video editor started screwing around with the film by mirroring images, etc. I wanted to see the guys work because they give all, 100% and more on stage. I remember watching a filmed performance of Hendrix in the late 60s and the film guys were doing the same thing back then. They should know better by now.

I saw this video where they go over their gear (newer one), and you gotta see it man the equipment Sam (bass + keys) uses was mindblowing. Jake's too. EDIT: So I heard about these guys just a week or two ago, and funny enough I was watching SNL and one thing led to another I ended up watching this video about worst SNL musical performances ever... and these guys were on there, and from the short clip I was stunned. I was definitely sure there was something great about this band and so I went out to listen some of their music... and thus I fell into the rabbit hole. I quickly learned they are 3 brothers (two of which are twins) and their friend. Apparently the guitarist - Jake, was into becoming a great guitar player and always tried to jam at home, and when he had no one to practice with he would get his brothers and they just grew into being a band. The singer Josh could not hear himself because of the loud instruments so he developed this sound that just ended up sounding like Robert Plant. I find all of this amazing, and that coupled with their music sounding like a lover from the past... I was hooked hahah. In their debut album I dare say they sound like they are very influenced by Led Zep but I think it's more of a coincidence than what people or logic would give them credit. In the later ones I can honestly hear a lot of different remnants, but I thin that's just it - they are reminiscent of a whole era of music that we love. Bottom line is they are all (at such a young age) such masters of their own field, each and every one of them so good - I just can't wait and see how much more they develop their respective sound. I hope they grow more and more, to unimaginable talent heights (and not be corrupted by things).
