Even with no great discoveries are made in locations it was beautiful to see the sea life at the bottom. It’s still an adventure even if nothing is there and is a location you can cross off your list.
The RoV camera does a great job. Being able to see the salinity layers was interesting. Fresh water layer is more than likely bringing in the silt. Bet if we sucked off the top 50cm and ran it through a sieve there would be a lot of small items. Great video my friend as always. The gripper is moving smoothly in the environment so that is good. Waiting for the next underwater foray. Both of you stay safe and well out there.
That area has certainly changed significantly from when it was U-Boat Pens. Incredible what looks to have been built up on top. FiFish is certainly a capable machine and even better that C-Link have been able to extend its capabilities for you.

It sure helps with retrieving the WW2 treasures. A shame none of those glass bottles were German from WW2. Oh well, there is always next time. Maybe the treasures were under the silt. you said that one of the Coca-Cola bottles looked old. could it have possibly been a WWII one? as the factory's stayed open throughout the war in Germany. even when they ran out of ingrediencies to make Coke, they then invented and produced Fanta.

The WW2 History Hunter team needs to also use the FiFish unit to catch a couple or three fish for dinner. Your lucky to recover the FiFish unit after being attacked by the Monster crabs. Another Outstanding video and presentation.

It’s always exciting to go on these underwater explorations. Exploring is a way to determine if an area is worth visiting or not. While you found nothing this trip, you may return later and find something. You may want to invest in some small torpedoes for the FiFish encase the killer crabs try to attack lol. I really enjoyed looking around this harbor.

Good video as always, I am sure this area has been dredged many times, but you never know. In Chicago they have a captured in tact German U-boat in dry dock, a great exhibit open to the public.
I have to say the layers of the water was very interesting. When you said "just an old Coca-Cola bottle" my husband was immediately saying for you to pull it up. He collects Coca-Cola memorabilia and an old bottle from Europe is just the sort of thing he is always on the hunt for.
I think you will have times when you'll find nothing but you went too the location in case but at least you found the crab kriegsmarine they were good and big finds 👍its the joy aswell you have on these journeys

Quite fascinating being able to see the layering between salt and fresh waters, and the amount of starfish and crabs in that little area is so cool. But yes, pretty much anything from the U-Boat days will be hidden under the silt by now. It is a pity you didn't find anything this trip, but, whatever is there is just being preserved for a future History Hunter (EE?) to find :) Just seeing those U-Boat pens still there, and still in use, is interesting enough. Well that was a bit disappointing - I expected at least one U-Boat to be hidden down there. Oh well... Of course I'm kidding, and it was a thrill to just see the fish in action and what it's capable of. It seems to have much better gripping action with the new claws, so that bodes well for the future. I'd give anything to do as you say, dig a meter or so down into the silt to find what's there. There must be some insanely cool artifacts there. I guess now you'll have to get your scuba qualifications and some wet and dry suits hehe. In the bigger picture, I can understand why the more remote sub bases had more rich pickings for artifacts, as they were simply packed up and walked away from and not repurposed. I really hope you can find some more of those bases in the boonies as I'm sure there must be some incredible things to find. All the best to you and your able assistant with the sharpest eyes 🙂
You should go with that RoV cam to the Ardennes/Belgium and check out the small lakes/waters there! Many WWII already discovered from those waters cause these where used as "dump site(s)" by retreating German troops

It looks like an active port so has probably been dredged several times over the years to clear silt and increase the depth of the harbor, meaning there’ll be little to nothing from the timeframe left
The site looks perfect for a standard archaeological excavation, which includes notation, digging and sifting/sorting and cataloging. Well worth a dogged try by EE and yourself, but onward an upwards to the next site.
Pretty sure most harbours are around 10mtrs deep, so your looking at around 5mtrs of silt build up. Great quality ROV, you can have some fun with that, like in the Bavarian lakes.
We live in a beautiful time, with hitech as the ROV camera as a tool. It is remarkable that there is little waste on the bottom. LOL, the crabs defend the harbor.

The expert has around 3 to 3,5 hours work time it seems but it all depends on usage , current etc. IT works pretty well in moderate current and with the AI features you can even lock onto a target down there and it stays locked onto it with the distance and heading. Thanks for watching.
I’m currently on my way to lake toplitz and this would be perfect to explore the lake with. Especially with all that’s been discovered there already. Not to mention the stories and rumors about Nazi gold. A gold bar was discovered there only a year or two ago…

Maybe you didn't find some artifacts U-Boat pen area was still very interesting because of the history. I imagine especially for you HH because of you being an ex sonar sub operator. EE right you are in telling your Dad to start off by going down 1 metre. And yes Dad get away from the rope. Wilhelm & Ehrhard the German crabs guarding the area might have made a tasty meal. Yes modern stuff we don't need when hunting for WW2 treasures. Thank you for taking us there EE & HH.

The tides change everything, it seems very shallow, and as it doesn't get used for anything they have no need to keep it dredged so IF there was anything there it is well buried.. Glad you tried anyway. we never know until someone tries it and tells us about it.

Maybe you didn't find some artifacts U-Boat pen area was still very interesting because of the history. I imagine especially for you HH because of you being an ex sonar sub operator. EE right you are in telling your Dad to start off by going down 1 metre. And yes Dad get away from the rope. Wilhelm & Ehrhard the German crabs guarding the area might have made a tasty meal. Yes modern stuff we don't need when hunting for WW2 treasures. Thank you for taking us there EE & HH.

The tides change everything, it seems very shallow, and as it doesn't get used for anything they have no need to keep it dredged so IF there was anything there it is well buried.. Glad you tried anyway. we never know until someone tries it and tells us about it.
