I met Eric 3 weeks ago in his mini concert in Mannheim, Germany. Damn, this guy is really kind and down to earth to his fans. Back in the concert i was also one of 3 people under 30 years old who's still listening to Mr. Big
Amazing to see a man/band that pulled on all us 80s/90s teenage girls heart strings, doing awesome!!! I was just watching Mr.Big To Be With You and all those amazing feelings came flooding back, when this world made more sense, cell phones and obnoxious distractions werent a thing and we lived life!!!❣️

Éric, you are a great idol since I was 10 years old. (Now I'm 40 and you seem to have changed nothing lol) Your voice, your charisma and sympathy, your internal and external beauty. Mr. big, for me it was and always will be one of the greatest bands of all time. My ringtone is "To be with you" and my 5 year old son is learning to sing all the songs lol. I love you!!!!

Thank you for posting the interview! I think your younguns upstaged EM. Haha. My fav MrBig concert is one of their 1996 Japanese shows. That crazy high note in ATTRush......Eric must've hit that note 10 times in one concert. I lost count. I'd like to know if he had it to do all over again would he have maybe held back. I want to know if he was conscious about saving his voice back then when he was young. If he ever thought about it. We tend to just live in the moment when we are young. I'm guessing he was hyper aware of Steve Perry's issues around that time so he had to have a similar fear of the same thing happening to him. These rock stars truly heap so much abuse on their bodies just to entertain us. Like the constant sore throat he gets from singing......That must be a drag dealing with it. I think it is awesome that he often mentions Judy Davis and the lessons she taught him. Like enunciation and diction. A teacher never knows if they will have a lasting effect or even if their lesson is being understood. But clearly EM got it and he used it. That is the very best way to thank a teacher. I think of the young artists today....they could use a mentor like EM. This band kept humble and out of drugs/cigarettes/booze and they all stayed in top physical shape. I love it when my fav rock stars are also SUPER INTELLIGENT humans in addition to being artists.
Wow! Super cool interview! Eric Martin is so cool! I'm a BIG fan of Mr. Big! I was able to be at the video shoot for Addicted To That Rush at The Palace in Los Angeles in 1988! Also saw them open for Rush during the Presto and Roll The Bones tours. Awesome for you guys to hang with Eric! What a cool experience and what a cool dude! ROCK ON!

Awesome interview guys. Sadly I never heard of Mr Big until now. Sooo I researched Eric and some of the songs and yes recognized the songs. He has an amazing voice and the harmonization in the chorus "I just want to be with you" was beautiful. I was born in 60s so 80s was my main music era. Though 50, 60, 70 rock is classic. Again great interview Barry.😊

28:00 you should be asking your record company why they are not giving you the $ THEY GET when your vids get millions of hits. Those vids ARE monetized and the channel owner DOES GET PAID for the hits/views. There is no "necessary evil". It's really simple. Legit uploads should be allowed and get $ for views. NON-legit uploads that are clearly exact copies of albums should be either A) blocked or B) allowed with provisions of royalties going to the copyright holder(s). Simple. But YT just blocks lots of music uploads that happen to match specific tunes and doesn't (apparently) allow someone such as myself to monetize for cover tunes and give a PORTION of $ to the copyright holder(s). Stop whining. You already got rich off the music biz.
these guys are thieves period! ..they stole our name! our trademark! and our hopes of doing gigs as the legitimate mr big ..I care not how good their music is ..anyone with any sense of decency would see that stealing a bands name that has had hits in the 70s tells you something about them as people so no matter what they come out with it is tainted by the fact they stole a name of another band ...
